Maybe so, but Trump proved the worth of his criticism - i.e., zero - when he subsequently awarded Fauci a medal.

That put the lies into whatever criticism Trump might have had for Fauci earlier.

The same goes for DeSantis. He is lying when he says he would have fired Fauci.

EverTrumpers keep saying that.

It may be true.

BUT we have MUCH less baggage, shennanigans and wheeling-dealing to pick through and find something probably nefarious.  It won't stick, and won't be worth the effort.

And that is WITHOUT his horrible narcissistic attitudes.

It IS true! Think about it! Trump has the personal resources to fight. You don't!

Needless to say, it was bizarre for a candidate to stand on the debate stage and declare Trump the greatest president.  Real subtle, Vivek.  He needs to be called out next time, and I don't care if the audience hoots n' hollers.  Let the candidates debate behind a chicken wire screen if necessary.

Bullshit.  Sorry it doesn't fit your I-Love-Orange narrative, but you have no basis for that claim.  What we do know for a fact is this:  (a) Trump never fired Fauci, and (b) Trump gave Fauci an award at the very end.

Trump is in cahoots with Fauci.  Very simple fact.

It isn't about Trump! It's about YOU and I! If they can do it to Trump they can do it to anyone!

Wow.  The Orange Kool-aid sucks you in deep, don't it?  The facts are thus:

(1) who knows what DeSantis would have done, simply because he wasn't there; it's easy enough for him to say he would, and he does have a track record in Florida for doing hard things and accomplishing them, so there's a good chance he would have, but there's also a chance he wouldn't have, so that neither favors him nor disfavors him;

(2) Trump did not fire Fauci, even though he had plenty of opportunity, and even after he criticized Fauci; and

(3) Trump gave Fauci an award at the end of Trump's term, when he had no reason or need to curry favor with Fauci, so the giving of the award can only mean that Trump approved of what Fauci had done, thereby putting the lie into any claim that Trump really opposed Fauci.

Those are facts, not speculation, not wishful thinking, but facts.  And they do not present a very favorable picture of your Orange God, except unless you're a democrat/liberal.

Rather than getting angry with me for correcting the record, why not ask your governor and his team to stop lying about how he handled COVID @libertybele

So where's the lie?  Show me the quote.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-

I don’t know if a president DeSantis would have fire Fauci. All I know is that Trump didn’t, and gave him an award.

DeSantis claims he would have. But it’s possible there could be just some Monday morning quarterbacking he’s doing
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Your basis?

DeSantis didn't start his harsh criticism of Fauci until spring of 2021. In the time frame a theoretical President DeSantis could have fired Fauci he didn't give any indication he would have.

Angry?  Why? The truth is the truth. I truly feel sorry for you that you are so wrapped up in Trump tweets and talking points that you can't open your eyes.

Again, I lived through the COVID lockdowns having DeSantis as our governor.  Contrary to what you want to believe, he SAVED jobs, businesses, and our State from going under.  I'm not going to continue to rehash this over and over.  Carry on with your ridiculous tweets .... hundreds of thousands of people flocked here for a reason; we are known as a FREE state.

I'm done on this subject with you @Right_in_Virginia    Peace

888high58888   DeSantis is a the biggest DEM target and with Trump ridiculing him he is helping them.  They are hoping that Trump will take out DeSantis for them.

Considering Trump will be arrested tonight for the fourth time, your post sounds insane @libertybele

Angry with you? I for one am not angry with you, irritated yes because of your incessant spamming but I really doubt you can truthfully say anyone here is angry with you for doing what we has become normal for you, like that little accusatory insult you just had to slide in against anyone that you don't believe bends knee to your Orange Deity.

Where does this post fall on your "accusatory insult" scale @GtHawk -----

Why do you ass-ume that I approve of that? The fact is that it is more/most often a notable couple of Trumpists responsible for the vast majority of insults to those who dare to question your Orange Deity. The main reason I go farther and farther...and farther from Trump is because of his vindictive childishness and inability to not say asinine things...but you help a lot too! And as usual instead of actually responding to the issue you deflect to play the victim  :pondering: gee who else do I know that does that?

Guys like DeSantis or Burgum with solid records of governance are probably screwed this round because everyone these days seems to want a 3-ring circus show for a candidate rather than an actual track record.

There is a lot of substance to Governor Burgum. I hope he gets a look during this process. Since he is currently polling very low, there is no need to destroy him at this time.

Just be aware that Governor Burgum has close ties to Bill Gates.
