The Republican Party can’t win general elections with MAGA candidates. And I doubt it can win elections with candidates running on a platform to reduce the size of the federal government because half the country is dependent on the federal government in some form.

The one sliver of hope for Trump would be a repeat of 2016 were Democrat voters stayed home. But since they didn’t do that in 2018, 2020, and 2022 it’s unlikely they’ll repeat that 2016 mistake in 2024.

   DeSantis got more votes when Trump DID NOT Endorse OR Campaign for him, that theoretically should end this discussion @sneakypete .  One of the Bright Spots in the 2020 Elections~DeSantis which, incidentally, was supposed to be a massacre but was not because Trump dragged the ticket down with his RINO picks.

And our own Senator distanced himself from Donald Trump in 2022 and won  reelection. There’s just too much overwhelming evidence that the MAGA endorsement is an election loser. This is not a personal attack on Trump or any of his supporters. It’s just the facts.
