He could be telling the truth - he's nothing if not a gigantic bullsh!tter.  The prosecution will need testimony from someone saying that they actually looked at the documents and could confirm they were official classified documents.

But he's basically saying "I just do what Dan Rather did", which isn't a good look for anyone.

ive noted over the past several years that when  he's needed to cover his ass with a YUGE LIE...he always repeats....himself   serially...if possible......... such as in this instance... Bravado  Bravado no documents no documents

he hasnt chanted the infamous and highly laughable BELIEVE ME BELIEVE ME  in several years...but it was the dead giveaway INTRODUCTION to his chosen modus operendi

hes far to infantile and shattered to know what hes doing..sadly

Well, at some point in the near future if it hasn't happened already, Trump will get copies of all the evidence against him, including grand jury testimony.  That could well include sworn statements by whomever was in that meeting with Trump.

And if they weren't able to confirm the documents were what Trump claimed, then the "bravado" defense is likely to be successful.

Despite Nancy Pelosi‘s past claim, Trump doesn’t have to prove himself innocent. The prosecution has  to prove him guilty.

But if it does turn out that they can prove that he did have classified documents, and showed them to others, he’s in very big trouble
