Whistleblowers allege Garland and IRS commissioner lied under oath

Two whistleblowers from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) testified before the House Ways and Means Committee, alleging that both Attorney General Merrick Garland and IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel committed perjury.
According to the Daily Caller, Reps. Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) and Greg Murphy (R-N.C.) shared that Gary Shapley and a second whistleblower from the IRS testified for over seven hours before the Ways and Means Committee. The Republican representatives revealed that the testimony of the two whistleblowers indicates Garland and Werfel lied to Congress regarding political interference in the IRS probe of Hunter Biden. In a closed-door hearing on Thursday, the Ways and Means Committee voted to release the transcripts of the testimony.
The New York Post reported Thursday that the whistleblower testimony shows a coverup in the Justice Department of the tax fraud investigation of President Joe Biden’s son.
According to the New York Post, the IRS whistleblowers noted that they pressed for felony charges to be brought against Hunter Biden for his evasion of $2.2 million in tax payments. The IRS agents also shared that the evidence brought against Biden was “buried” by the Justice Department.
