John Kerry Despairs at Global Population Growth: 10 Billion ‘Unsustainable’

A world population nearing 10 billion people by the middle of this century is “unsustainable,” U.S. special climate envoy John Kerry declared Wednesday, before setting out his future plans for planet earth.

Since November, the global population has officially crossed eight billion, more than three times the figure in 1950.

U.N. projections say the figure will balloon to 9.7 billion in the middle of the century, AFP reports, and Kerry told the outlet of his fears for the future. He said:

    I don’t think it’s sustainable personally.

    We need to figure out how we’re going to deal with the issue of sustainability and the numbers of people we’re trying to take care of on the planet.

Feeding people in a sustainable way is the key, Kerry continued, using Africa as an example of unsustainable population growth and the pressure it puts on food supply chains.

Previous supporters of driving behavioural change to stem population growth have pushed eating less while embracing alternatives as a possible answer.

I checked out Kerry's education, using W'pedia, because, who knows? Maybe he has multiple earned PhDs in Agriculture, Health, and Economics> Well he doesn't, not a single earned PhD, and his BA is in PoliSci, which is about political machinations, not any kind of real science. Has John I Served in Vietnam! Kerry predicted tens of millions dying from famine in the 2030s? Or did he learn not to make predictions like that from Paul Ehrlich?

The lunacy Kerry is espousing was used by Paul R. Ehrlich in the late 60's and early 70's(and obviously disproven) to cause and spread fear and and of course sell books and make money. If Kerry and those like him really believe this malarkey then their best course of action is to kill themselves...all for the good of Gaia and mankind of course.

@PeteS in CA, to your question as to where he learned it, maybe he watched an old Carson rerun where Johnny was fawning over Ehrlich and and helping him with his scare mongering, then again Ehrlich did receive a coveted( ) Heinz award so maybe he recently talked with him at some socialist event.
