Texas authorities respond to reported outlet mall shooting

Texas police responded to reports of a shooting at Allen Premium Outlets on Saturday afternoon.

Dispatch told FOX 4 Dallas that police were responding to calls about a shooting that reportedly involved multiple people at the Allen, Texas shopping center.

Collin County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Fox News Digital that Allen Police Department are on the scene. The office told FOX 4 that there are "some victims" but the extent of the injuries are not known.

Allen Police Department asked everyone to avoid the area in a statement on Twitter.

Texas officials responded to reports of an "active shooting situation" at Allen Premium Outlets on Saturday afternoon.

Collin County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Fox News Digital that Allen Police Department officers are on the scene. The office told FOX 4 Dallas that there are "some" victims. Local outlet WFAA-TV reported the victims included children, though Fox News has not independently confirmed that.

The ATF Dallas Field Division said on Twitter that it was an "active shooting situation" as of 4:30 p.m. CT.

The sheriff's office told WFAA that the suspected shooter is dead.

Operations Administrator Joshua W. Barnwell told FOX 4 Dallas that he heard at least 30 gunshots and saw around 60 rounds of ammunition on the ground.

A mother who was at the mall with her daughter said she heard popping noises and saw sparks flying.

"We were outside the Converse store and we just heard all this popping," Elaine Penicaro explained to FOX 4. "We kind of all just stopped, and then a second later, just 'Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop,' and there were sparks flying like it was right in front of us."

Nine people, including the suspect, are dead after a shooting Saturday at a Dallas-area outlet mall, authorities said.

Seven people died on scene at Allen Premium Outlets and two more were pronounced dead at a hospital, Allen Fire Department Chief Jonathan Boyd said.


Three people remained in critical condition on Saturday night and four were stabilized, Boyd said.

President Joe Biden has been briefed on the shooting, the White House said in a statement. The White House was “closely monitoring the situation and is in touch with law enforcement and local officials to offer support,” the statement added.

If you try to find any information on the Allen, TX shooting this morning on twitter, all you would know is that a gun got out of a car and killed a bunch of people.  And that America has to take all guns away from legal owners because AR-15’s are unhinged fanatics.

A man who witnessed the outlet mall shooting firsthand Saturday recalled being one of the first people on the scene - rushing to rescue his son from a clothing store where the now-deceased gunman's attack started.

The shooting happened at the Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, a small suburb north of Dallas, and saw at least eight people killed. At least one of those slain, Steven Spainhouer recalled, was a child, whom he desperately tried to save after rushing to the H&M - where his own son had been working.

Shortly before, around 3:30pm Spainhouer received a frantic call from his son notifying him that there had been shots fired outside the shop, with his relative still trapped inside.

Footage shows the moment those first shots rang out, in which the unidentified gunman is seen pulling up the store, which moments later would be littered with multiple bloodied bodies - seen in images currently circulating.

Driving over with the intent to save his child's life, Spainhouer explained how he got there before any first responders - and was faced with the monumental task of trying to save lives.

A hero cop who took down the Texas mall shooter made a frantic call for backup just moments before he shot dead the AR-15-armed gunman who killed eight people.

Children were among those killed during the bloodbath outside H&M in Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas at 3.36pm on Saturday.

The shooter, in his 30s, was killed by an unnamed cop - who was on the scene for an unrelated call but rushed over when he heard the gunshots outside the H&M.

New audio footage now reveals how the officer made a frantic phone call begging for his colleagues to join him on the scene, radioing: 'I need everybody I got.'

He bravely ran towards the active shooter - who was armed with 60 rounds and had shot over a dozen people by this point - and killed him.

Around two minutes after first calling for backup, the cop said: 'I got him down.'  Minutes later, another voice is heard on the radio saying: 'We got victims. I need an ambulance.'

The FBI and police have raided the dead suspect's home following the civilian massacre. Neighbors say they always say him wearing a security guard-type uniform, but he was 'very quiet' and had 'very unusual behavior.'   


In a disturbing snippet, the gunman is seen laying dead outside another Allen store on a few dozen feet from the H&M. He is seen dressed in SWAT gear, with a semi-automatic rile at his side
