In 2021, fentanyl overdoses in America surpassed 70,000.

Production of this deadly drug often happens in Mexico, with precursor chemicals sourced from China. It's a deadly supply chain.

Despite the vast sums of resources spent by the Federal government, the opioid epidemic still rages in America. A wide open southern border is making this problem even more difficult to combat.

The United States is part of multiple international partnerships to fight against drug trafficking. But in 2022, China ended a partnership with the U.S. meant to counter the drug problem—while continuing to be a major part fentanyl's supply chain.

This is one of those self-correcting problems that will eventually go away by itself...
