I strongly condemn President Xi’s brazen incursion into American airspace, and I commend President Biden’s leadership in taking down the Chinese balloon over water to ensure safety for all Americans. Now we can collect the equipment and analyze the technology used by the CCP.

Bloomberg reports the Biden admin was first aware the Chinese spy balloon entered U.S. airspace one week ago on 1/28, and had opted not to inform the American public about it until the Bilings Gazette published a photo of the balloon on Thursday.

What also matters is they didn't shoot the balloon. They shot the payload. So now there is little to recover to get insight what the Chinese were up to. That was stupid.

Happened to catch it "live" on FOX.  Played it back frame by frame.

To me it looked like a controlled explosion.  The "payload box" jettisoned away from the balloon directly below.

Meanwhile,ALL the information it gathered was already being reviewed back in China.

People,this ain't 30 years ago,and spy satellites ONLY record what they see and hear on tape as a backup to the Chinese  IF the broadcast is somehow stopped or distorted. It is nothing more than a backup to the real time broadcast,and chances are there is a "fail safe" in every satellite that causes it to explode if it drops below a minimum height,or receives serious damage that would cause it to crash.

The Biden administration is releasing details on how exactly the military effort to shoot down a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina unfolded.

A senior military official said on Saturday that the Chinese spy balloon was shot down at 2:39 p.m. on Saturday by one air-to-air A9X sidewinder missile fired by an F-22 Raptor that took off from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.

The aircraft fired the missile at an altitude of 58,000 feet while the balloon was hovering at an altitude of between 60,000 and 65,000 feet.

The balloon was shot down about six nautical miles off the coast off South Carolina and the debris field is said to be roughly seven miles wide.

They didn't want to do anything that would upset their Chinese paymasters,so they destroyed the recorders instead of the balloon.

Also,if the recorders had been saved,the Biden Criminal Organization would have a VERY hard time claiming the Chinese were just checking the weather.
