I don't know.  David Crosby making it to 80 is pretty close.

Not to mention Keith Richards.

Death Cocktail Revealed: Lisa Marie Presley Took Lethal Opioids, Lost 40-50 Lbs. Weeks Before Death
Story by OK Magazine • 1h ago

Lisa Marie Presley was on an extreme weight loss regimen and had relapsed into taking opioids in the months leading up to her tragic death on Thursday, January 12, sources confirmed.

The "You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" singer had fallen dependent on drugs after she wanted to look her best for the multiple awards shows in which her famous father's biopic, Elvis, would be recognized at, family insiders explained.

Lisa Marie sat beside Austin Butler — who played Elvis Presley in the award-winning film — at the 2023 Golden Globes just two days before she suffered cardiac arrest and tragically died at the age of 54 years old.

Two months before the Academy Awards, the mother-of-four underwent plastic surgery and started to take weight loss medication, which resulted in the singer dropping 40-50 pounds in the mere six weeks before the renowned event, sources continued to reveal to a news publication on Monday, January 30.

Sad, because if she did it to look good for the event it didn't work, in the picture I saw she looked liked hell. All she accomplished was leaving her children motherless and a lighter coffin for the pallbearers.

"We send our deepest sympathies to the Hull family," the team said in a statement. "The Hull Family has requested privacy during this difficult time. They appreciate the sympathies that have been sent their way."

Laverne & Shirley’ actor Cindy Williams dies at 75

Quote

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Cindy Williams, who played Shirley opposite Penny Marshall’s Laverne on the popular sitcom “Laverne & Shirley,” has died, her family said Monday.

Williams died in Los Angeles at age 75 on Wednesday after a brief illness, her children, Zak and Emily Hudson, said in a statement released through family spokeswoman Liza Cranis.

“The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed,” the statement said. “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”

Williams also starred in director George Lucas’ 1973 film “American Graffiti” and director Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Conversation” from 1974.

@GtHawk

What is sad that she even felt the need to do something that drastic. After all,she wasn't  22 years old and trolling for a part in a new movie.

Nor did she need the money or the public attention. Everybody knew who she was.

Her ego killed her.

Bacharach was obviously musically not my wheel house, but he was one of those rare talents who could pull  a tune out of thin air and make a massive contemporary hit out it.  Almost at will.

Army veteran, legendary composer Burt Bacharach dies at 94
By Hillel Italie, The Associated Press
 Thursday, Feb 9

NEW YORK — Burt Bacharach, the singularly gifted and popular composer who delighted millions with the quirky arrangements and unforgettable melodies of “Walk on By,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” and dozens of other hits, has died at 94.

The Grammy, Oscar and Tony-winning Bacharach, who also served in the Army, died Wednesday at home in Los Angeles of natural causes, publicist Tina Brausam said Thursday.

Over the past 70 years, only Lennon-McCartney, Carole King and a handful of others rivaled his genius for instantly catchy songs that remained performed, played and hummed long after they were written. He had a run of top 10 hits from the 1950s into the 21st century, and his music was heard everywhere from movie soundtracks and radios to home stereo systems and iPods, whether “Alfie” and “I Say a Little Prayer” or “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again” and “This Guy’s in Love with You.”

Dionne Warwick was his favorite interpreter, but Bacharach, usually in tandem with lyricist Hal David, also created prime material for Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones and many others. Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Frank Sinatra were among the countless artists who covered his songs, with more recent performers who sung or sampled him including White Stripes, Twista and Ashanti. “Walk On By” alone was covered by everyone from Warwick and Isaac Hayes to the British punk band the Stranglers and Cyndi Lauper.

Surely the NFL will honor him with a moment of silence at the Super Bowl.  After all, he did much more for his country than the guy who had his heart stop momentarily after a tough hit.  No?  It figures. buh bye

This implication that Damar Hamlin is some worthless POS who didn't do anything WAS NOT NECESSARY.

This isn't the 1940s and 1950s anymore. The vast majority of American men are civilians, and while there's still a draft, nobody uses it anymore (thankfully).

So can we please not turn Mr. Bacharach's death into a pissing contest between whether veterans or civilians are more important, please?

Actor Austin Majors, who most Americans remember as Theo Sipowicz from the hit show NYPD Blue, died over weekend at the age of 27 for undisclosed reasons.

Austin’s sister, Kali Raglin, confirmed his death in a statement on Monday. His family hailed him as an artistic and kind human being who will be sorely missed.  ...

Though the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner has not revealed a cause of death, specifying only that he died on Saturday, Majors’ sister told Fox News Digital that officials currently believe her brother’s cause of death was a “suspected fentanyl poisoning with an ongoing investigation.” ...

@catfish1957
Why?

His policies had nothing to do with this. Our borders were being breached day and night by drug runners long before he was pushed into office. I say "pushed" because I don't believe for a minute that even Dims are Dim enough to have elected that dummy.

BTW,I don't believe for a minute that drug dealers forced him to OD on an illegal drug. Taking an illegal drug was a choice HE made (btw,it was also a choice I made for several years). Nobody forced him to do it.

I have a hard time believing a professional soccer player died on the field from taking illegal drugs.

I could VERY easily be wrong, but I suspect his death may be related to undiagnoised medical problems.

These guys are probably drug tested often, plus they KNOW their success and wealth in life is dependent on being able to chase a fast moving ball up and down a field.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The point is that fentanyl is not a point of a drug, but a poison.  Biden's polices ARE the point of failure that allow this to happen.

So Pete if you accidently died after eating a  cannabis gummy laced with fentanyl (Not that you would), would you be a victim of drug abuse?

Just asking.....

I liked how she poked fun at herself in her "Seinfeld" guest appearance.

I know its all subjective, but from my POV, maybe the sexiest woman who ever lived.

Every guy who is my age and had their teen years in the '60's and '70's knows why.

She was a very pretty lady. But I can't say she was a great actress. My fav flick of hers...Bandelero. She said she loved this film because it allowed her get away from "sex symbol" and show her acting chops. Okey Dokey.

RIP Raquel.
