Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

No, I do not remember the recipe... though I likely had the pie... I can have a lot to say against my ex-MIL... But never let it be said she couldn't cook... That'd be the ex herself  **nononono*

Zoom is like Skype (video-phone software), except for multiple participants at once.

Well... that honor is very specific to pumpkin pie... pre-cut, with spray-on whip cream at the ready... sweet potato pie a ready alternative... but anything else would presume a shower before going back to bed... and that's too complicated for the very early hours.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Guessing she has 10x in debt, and some scary exboyfriends. Stay away from that.
She smells like massive trouble to me. But no doubt she is a future ex-wife for some fool.

Very clever!
I have done this. When I am in the city walking, when a bum is coming and I get that weird 'feeling' I just know he is coming for me, first thing out of my mouth is, "Scew me sir!, have you got a dollar?" This surprises them so much they just keep on walking. One guy got pissed and yelled, 'That's just what I was fissin' to axe you!" and he kept on walking. The rest of them leave me alone.

I remember that sound.

Ugh, so do I.
It was the sound of sleepiness and resignation when the on-call pager chimed at 3am and I knew I was going to have to fix someone's sloppy code on the fly.

Sorry 'bout that!  For me, it meant that I and my best friend in high school were logging onto his dad's home terminal for ARPANET to play a little star trek, or logging onto one of the original text-only BB systems.
