2023 - Buy a new one.
@240B I bought a new Sanyo 48 inch plasma tv maybe 15 years ago,and paid around 1100 bucks for it. On sale. It was soooo much better than the old 19 inch boob tube it replaced that I was happy to spend the money to get more stations and better video and audio.
It finally died a few months ago,so off to Wal-Mart I went again,in search of a replacement. Seems like Plasma tv's are a thing of the past today,so I ended up buying a new Sanyo 48 inch flat screen tv that was typical of the tv's made and sold today.
Paid $248 for it.
No Biden! Even with inflation telling you that you WILL pay more for an equivalent item you bought years ago,damned if I didn't end up paying only a fraction of what I paid before.
And I honestly can't see ANY difference in the audio or the video quality.
