@AllThatJazzZ I had the privilege of having a conversation with Kenny Rogers years ago in, of all places, Saudi Arabia. We were at an after-performance party, where my wife and I got to introduce ourselves and have a picture taken with him. After that was done, he asked me where I was from. I replied, " I doubt that you have ever heard of the place and said I'm from a little community Southwest of Huntsville Texas called Goshen." He laughed and asked me if I had ever heard of Crockett. I said, "of course I have." Cutting to the chase, it turns out that he grew up in that little town which is a few miles North of Huntsville.

I don’t think many bought into it, but my late husband did and I couldn’t convince him otherwise.
