A Ukrainian nurse who lost her legs in a landmine explosion has shared an emotional first dance with her husband after getting married in a hospital.

Victor, the groom, held his wife Oksana in his arms as they danced on the ward in the western city of Lviv.

The moment was caught on camera by a volunteer at the hospital.

The 23-year-old nurse from the eastern city of Lysychansk lost her legs on 27 March as she and Victor were returning home "on a familiar path", the Lviv Medical Association said.

She turned to warn her husband of the danger, seconds before a mine exploded underneath her.

He was not injured, but Oksana lost her legs and four fingers on her left hand.  .  .

Very touching video at link.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."     -Ayn Rand-
