FBI Director Wray says border gotaways a source of 'great concern' for agency

FBI Director Christopher Wray on Wednesday said that the number of illegal immigrants evading Border Patrol agents and escaping into the country is a source of "great concern" for the agency -- as he told lawmakers that threats from the other side of the border are "consuming" FBI field offices.

Wray testified to lawmakers on the House Homeland Security Committee about "worldwide threats" to the U.S. Chairman Mark Green asked Wray about the numbers of gotaways -- illegal immigrants at the border who evaded Border Patrol -- which have exceeded 600,000 in FY 23. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources tell Fox News there have been over 47,000 gotaways since the beginning of the new fiscal year on Oct. 1.

Green said the number of gotaways since the beginning of the Biden administration could be well over two million.

"Can the FBI guaranteed American people that known or suspected terrorists, including any from Hamas or other terror groups, are not amongst those gotaways?" he asked.

"Well, certainly the group of people that you're talking about are source of great concern for us. That's why we're aggressively using all 56 of our joint terrorism task forces," Wray said.....................

American Government should be allocating resources to train Americans skills for unfilled jobs.

I understand the concept, but basically is is spreading ILLEGALS around the country and eventually one way or another the DEMS will see to it that they can vote.  What does that accomplish?  It make it mathematically impossible for a REP to be seated.

Southern border still a mess: Arizona sees 58,000 in one month as October sees second-highest border encounters ever

The United States-Mexico border continued its spiral into lawlessness in the last month, with border encounters still reaching astronomical numbers unseen until President Biden took office.

In Arizona specifically, the Tucson Sector Border Patrol apprehended 58,000 illegal immigrants in a span of 28 days. Numbers continued to pile on to what was an unfortunately busy October 2023 for the region, which saw 55,224 migrants, according to Breitbart.

Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin posted numerous figures on X, compiling data from just one week in his border sector.

"Week in Review," the chief began before noting that there were "15,300 Apprehensions."

As well, 117 pounds of fentanyl were seized, along with over a dozen human smuggling events, and "78 Federal Criminal Cases - 17 Rescues - 14 Human Smuggling Events - 3 Narcotics Events," Modlin added............

Texas National Guard installs anti-climbing barriers at border as second line of defense behind water barriers

Texas National Guard Engineer Response Teams were deployed to repair existing concertina-wire barriers and install new anti-climbing barriers in Brownsville, Texas.

The wire barriers have reportedly been damaged by illegal border-crossers, but the Department of Homeland Security has also been pictured cutting the wire. The DHS has been ordered to leave the wire alone unless it is in response to an emergency medical situation, a judge recently declared, according to NBC News.

The state of Texas announced that the anti-climbing barriers near Brownsville will be placed behind existing reinforced concertina wire, where it is used as an added prevention method at water crossings.

The state has also used water buoys to prevent crossings.

"We know Texas has the right to legally deploy those buoys in the water to prevent people from entering our country and our state illegally," Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) said. ..............

Cruz quizzes DHS on TSA screening of migrants boarding flights: ‘This is alarming’

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Wednesday wrote to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas seeking more information about the screening of migrants who have come through the border via the CBP One app and are seeking to board flights.

"While Americans must present an acceptable form of identification to fly, or at least have their identities confirmed, TSA is permitting illegal aliens without ID to opt for an alternate identity verification process utilizing the…'CBP One' app," Cruz says in the letter to Mayorkas, saying the process "takes illegal aliens at their word" on certain data and allows them to obtain DHS documents and fly out of airports.

"In effect, TSA is applying one standard for verifying the identities of American citizens, and another, weaker standard for ‘verifying’ the identities of illegal aliens. This is alarming."

Record-setting 276K migrants crossed southern border in December — and it isn’t over

The crisis at the besieged southern border reached new heights this week, with the number of migrant encounters in December already shattering records — even with the final three days of the month to still be tallied.

More than 276,000 asylum seekers hoping to cross the US-Mexico border have been encountered by US Customs and Border Protection agents in December, the highest number for a single month in history, according to the shocking preliminary data obtained by Fox News Friday.

That figure is expected to notably rise when the final three days are counted. Illegal crossings topped 10,000 on some days throughout the month.

The December total so far is up an astonishing 262% from December 2020, the final month of former President Donald Trump’s presidency — and eclipses the previous monthly record set in September, when 269,735 migrants were encountered, according to CBP statistics.

Meanwhile, there were more than 3.2 million migrant encounters overall nationwide in fiscal year 2023, of which 2.4 million were recorded at the southern border.

The nationwide total is almost equal to the number of births registered in the United States in 2022, when 3,667,758 new babies were born.

The December figure also includes 225,000 migrants taken into custody at the border during the first 27 days of December — also a record, internal federal statistics obtained by CBS News show.

The figures do not specify how many of those apprehended remain in government custody or are sent back. The stats also don’t include migrants showing up at official ports of entry to apply for asylum through a new app introduced by the Biden administration.

Roughly 50,000 migrants are funneled through that system each month, according to CBS.

Stunned lawmakers eviscerated the Biden administration Friday for the spiralling crisis.

“Yet another record broken by the Biden Administration,” wrote Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on X.

“The border is wide open. The President must take action immediately to stop the flow of drugs, terrorists and illegal immigrants.”...........

California Democrats are giving illegals free healthcare while that state maintains the highest homeless population in the country.

Illegals get free housing in secret migrant facilities paid for by US taxpayers while young families can't afford to buy a home after inflation.

Illegals are even included in the US Census. Democrats celebrate how it will help get them more seats in Congress — then call the Great Replacement a conspiracy theory that should be censored.

And yes, illegals are allowed to vote in local elections all across blue America when they should be deported.

The US Constitution provides American citizens with incredible protections. Why? Because it is a precious inheritance handed down to us from our forefathers.

Cartel human smuggling business is turning entire border towns into war zones

CIUDAD JUÁREZ – Mexican drug cartels are making millions in profits from the hundreds of thousands of migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border and are now turning entire border towns into war zones.

The money left by the migrants trying to get across the border wall from Mexico into the U.S. to criminal organizations that are charging to guide them across, extorting them or kidnapping them is creating a multimillion-dollar illegal business. Now the different criminal organizations operating across the border are fighting to death for a piece of the pie.

From small towns like Sonoyta, across the border from Lukeville, Arizona, to entire cities like Ciudad Juárez, across the river from El Paso, Texas, different cartels are killing each other and challenging Mexican authorities to gain control of the smuggling routes.

In a video from Dec. 29 shared online from Sonoyta, Sonora in northern Mexico, an SUV with several armed men around it is set on fire during a violent gunfight between alleged members of a local criminal organization with ties to the Sinaloa Cartel and the Mexican army, according to local news outlets. .................

Child sex offenders, murder convict captured trying to enter US illegally

As the number of illegal immigrants descending on the U.S. increases, border patrol agents at the southern border have made significant arrests of child sex offenders and a convicted murderer captured this week attempting to cross into the country.

On January 23, border patrol agents covering the Del Rio and the Rio Grande Valley in Texas nabbed two child sex offenders with prior felony convictions.

"These subjects were caught trying to re-enter the U.S. illegally," U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) Chief Jason Owens posted on X, announcing news of the capture.

"Agents being out on patrol is what stopped them from getting to your communities. #HonorFirst."...........

............The post was accompanied by photos of the felons.

Owens did not say where they were from or how old they were.

On Thursday, Border Patrol Chief Agent for Tucson John Modlin posted images of two men with criminal records who had been apprehended for unlawful entry to the US.

"Both subjects have alarming felony convictions," Modlin wrote.

"One for second-degree murder and attempted murder and the other for endangering the welfare of a child. Both face federal prosecution."....................

Migrant crisis: Noem sends National Guard to southern border's 'warzone'

 South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem announced Tuesday that she will deploy additional National Guard troops to the southern border later this spring.

This new deployment, Noem's fifth since 2021, is intended to support Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's efforts to respond to the ongoing illegal immigrant crisis, including through the use of barbed wire and security personnel. The governor is sending 60 South Dakota National Guard soldiers on a rolling basis over three months.

"The border is a warzone, so we’re sending soldiers," Noem said in a statement. "These soldiers’ primary mission will be construction of a wall to stem the flow of illegal immigrants, drug cartels, and human trafficking into the United States of America."

Noem previewed the troop deployment in an address to a joint session of the South Dakota Legislature late last month. In remarks delivered after she visited Eagle Pass, Texas, in January, Noem decried an "invasion" at the border and urged all 50 states to join forces to repel Mexican drug cartels.

"The United States of America is in a time of invasion," Noem said. "The invasion is coming over our southern border. The 50 states have a common enemy, and that enemy is the Mexican drug cartels. They are waging war against our nation, and these cartels are perpetuating violence in each of our states, even right here in South Dakota."

Her address came after South Dakota's legislature became the first in the nation to pass a resolution of support for Texas that declared, "protection of our nation's borders from invasion is fundamental to the security, prosperity, and sovereignty of the nation."

Noem has deployed South Dakota National Guard troops four times previously to the border, including last year, and she has visited several times, most recently on Jan. 26. Other Republican governors have deployed troops and visited the border too, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. ..............

That figure comes from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which has already reported 961,537 border encounters in the current fiscal year, which runs from October through September. If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow down, fiscal year 2024 will break last year's record of 2,475,669 southwest border encounters — a number that by itself exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state.

The total number of southwest land border encounters since Biden assumed office in 2021 is 7,298,486, CBP data shows.

I would love to think that you are correct and yes everything is wrong with Biden's policies and priorities, but it's a matter of having election integrity.  They stole an election, they'll do it again.  We are not going to win at the ballot box.  There is still time to grant asylum to ALL ILLEGALS and allow them to vote.  There is no way mathematically that any Republican will win. That has been the whole premise for keeping the border open for decades.

The crisis is well beyond our Southern Border.

Biden's Open Border policy is causing a humanitarian, financial, political, and budget crisis in Massachusetts.

If Biden does not close the Border and does not stop "Catch & Release", he will lose the 2024 Presidential Election, and he may not get money for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

Biden is choosing Open Borders over helpinng Ukraine win.  Something is very, very wrong with Biden's priorities.

BTW, keep sending those migrant buses up North.  Biden may not listen to Texas, but he'll ignore Massachsuetts and New York at his own electoral peril.

The illegals are replacements for all the people their losing, those that change to red, or leave.
Someone, somewhere, may eventually give them the right to vote, amnesty, etc...
