Joe Biden Signs Anti-Lynching Legislation: ‘Racial Hate a Persistent Problem’

President Joe Biden signed a bill officially banning lynching on the federal level Tuesday, comparing the horrific practice to the people who marched at the protests in Charlottesville.

“The same racial hatred that drove the mob to hang a noose, brought that mob carrying torches out of the fields of Charlottesville just a few years ago,” Biden said, referring to the 2017 protests. “Racial hate isn’t an old problem. It’s a persistent problem.”

Biden proudly signed the bill first before delivering a speech about it.

“No federal law prohibited lynching. None. Until today,” he boasted.

Biden said that between 1877 and 1950, more than 4,400 black people were murdered by lynching.

“That’s a lot of folks, man, and a lot of silence for a long time,” he said.

Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke after Biden signed the bill, noting that anti-lynching legislation was first introduced in 1900 and failed 200 times before it finally passed Congress in 2022.

“Lynching is and has always been a hate crime,” she said, and added, “Lynching is not a relic of the past. Racial acts of terror still occur in our nation, and when they do we must all have the courage to name them and hold the perpetuators to account.”

Harris celebrated a long list of activists who worked to push the bill through Congress and also spoke about the importance of the black press.

“I’m going off script for a moment about the importance of the black press. And the importance of making sure that we have the storytellers always in our community who we will support to tell the truth when no one else is willing to tell it,” he said.

After Harris’s speech, Biden returned to the microphone to emphasize the importance of a federal law banning lynching.

“As someone once said, this is a big deal,” Biden said with a chuckle, referring to an old viral moment when he called the passage of Obamacare a “big fu**ing deal,” which was captured on a hot-mic.

I have read that the last "racial" lynching was 40 years or so ago. Thank goodness we finally have a law to criminalize murder!

The Democrat Party has black voters convinced that, if they vote Republican, the Ku Klux Klan and the Aryan Brotherhood will have free access to their communities. How many Republicans voted for this? The opposition to this isybecause you wanna see black people lynched. Because it’s a solution looking for a problem. Yup, racial hate is a persistent problem and the flavor of the day is racial hate for Whites with a side order of Asian. I wonder how much racial hate we would have in America without the constant race baiting to divide by socialist democrats and Black ~~hate mongers~~ so called reverends like Sharptongue and Jesse Jackyou?

Some need to be reminded there have been many minorities trying to mine opportunities by using false/invented race cards games, and been discovered for the lies-deceits of using such agendas.

8 people have been lynched since 1980.
Not all in the south, 3 were in New York.
Not all were black.
No lynchings were reported in this current century.
It is just throwing a bone to the people that they are afraid of losing, who might vote for the opposition party.
I have to believe there is an "Anyone but Biden" movement, across both parties, and all they have left is the race card.

Cattle rustlers, stage coach robbers, bushwhackers, and others, were lynched all the time in the 1800s. The modern Left is trying to redefine 'lynching' as if it only happened to Black people. Race had nothing to do with lynching. People of all/any race were lynched a hundred years ago. 'Lynching' had nothing to do with race or being Black. It was a common mob punishment which was applied to everyone/anyone.

It is the same with the Leftist definition of 'slavery'. The American Left claims that only Black people were ever slaves and that slavery only happened in America and only to Blacks. Every nation on Earth has had slavery and has been enslaved. Slavery is not at all unique to the Black race. But none of that is the most important issue of all. The most important issue on the Democrats to-do list is, HAVE DEMOCRATS SIGNED THE ANTI-WITCH BURNING LEGISLATION!! Witches are being mercilessly tied to stakes and burned all over America, especially in Northeast America. What is being done about this!? Are the Democrats pro-witch burning? I say they are!

Others assert that the Vigilantes were the actual criminals.

But a view persists about justice, that if the law won't take care of it, it's 'just us'

Ropes are so, well, 19th century. Most modern victims of enraged mobs are bludgeoned to death or shot.
