GOP should draft bill prohibiting Russian/Iranian oil purhases

The bill should also say that any deficits in US oil supply from those moves must be filled from US oil. It would likely be killed in committee by Dems. voting as a bloc, however, it would still give the Democrats a black eye.

Go on the offense for once! Make the Dems. look bad!I doubt if they'd do that though.GOP would rather sit and do nothing as usual.

Have you noticed the outcome of this Ukrainian thing is to ensure China faces a divided US and Russia (in fact, it locks Russian into selling fuel to China) and has us subsidizing enemy nations like Iran and Venezuela by buying their oil?

But for Biden's idiocy, the GOP wouldn't even have to consider such a bill. We already have the fossil fuels in America - they're in the ground just waiting to be set free.

 Lift the restrictions that currently prevent US oil and gas producers from extracting the products and getting them to market.

We had the answer AND IT WORKED WELL, use our own oil we  had a massive abundance. Bidens answer is like the answer for co-vid now that we have moved on to the next crisis.  The co-vid crisis, we had nothing to do with ramming the co-vid crisis down the Americans throats,blame the people-citizens we forced it on.  When Biden is finished wrecking this Country with Putins help, him and democrats are going to point the finger of blame on you. I am against this because it removes a POSSIBLE tool that could be used to get the Russians to pull back.

WHY would they come to the negotiating table if they have nothing to gain?

You MUST leave your "enemy" a LITTLE breathing room so they can save face,or they have no incentive to back off.
