The Romney proposal is dead for now. Conservatives should make sure it stays that way.

When President Biden’s Build Back Better plan didn’t pass last year, it meant that his policy of sending monthly payments to families of up to $300 per child could not be extended. The expiration of the program has brought some renewed attention to a similar proposal by Senator Mitt Romney. Before Obamacare was Obamacare, it was Romneycare.

Before Romney was against Obamacare, he was for Romneycare.

Romney lacks a political soul - he's a political opportunist.  He'll jump aboard anything he thinks will help his standing with whichever constintuency he's trying to pander to.

Romney created Romneycare in Massachusetts because he hoped to use it as a talking point for his 2012 Presidential campaign to sway Independents, Moderates, and Liberals.

Romney is a walking major fail.  He wore out his welcome in Massachusetts.  He'll wear out his welcome in Utah.  He can't slither to Michigan because that state's GOP doesn't want him.
