Just three weeks into the job, Chancellor David Banks is cleaning house by purging de Blasio lackies from the city Department of Education. Keep it up!
Seven top officials under ex-Chancellors Richard Carranza and Meisha Ross Porter have left already, with six others demoted with pay cuts.
Banks told The Post he’s committed to “drastic change” and wants to pare down the massive central DOE bureaucracy — recognizing that it does nothing to help our city’s kids.
Equally important, the bureaucratic bloat under de Blasio was about doing the wrong things: pushing racially divisive “lessons” and “training,” racially re-engineering school populations, employing and/or handing fat consultant contracts to cronies . . .
