Days of rain, heavy snow and a winter storm that left roads blocked and avalanche danger high has shut down major travel routes between Seattle and points east, with closures expected to continue through at least Sunday morning.
Travelers are advised to check routes carefully and adjust or delay travel as necessary.
All four mountain passes that connect western and eastern Washington State were still closed as of Saturday afternoon, with crews working to clear up to 2 feet of snow or more in some areas.
