For those that might not know - This is true. This is the look of rural signs.
One that says 'No target Shooting' is just asking for it.

That sign material makes for nice targets. Once in my ill-spent youth, I got my hands on a whole bunch of bus-stop blanks that were in the form of a round disk about 8 inches in diameter, with two holes top and bottom already pre-punched. I thoroughly enjoyed using those as targets at my local shooting range.

We got a big blow through here the last couple days... 10" of snow on the ground, 40 MPH winds...

Lost power of course. Now I have to reset the clocks on the nuke and the stove or they won't work. Makes me grumble.

I would LOVE those clocks to be IoT, or better yet, mechanical... Then the damn things would work without it.

Meh. Screw it, and just set them to 12:01 or whatever. The time on those isn't important as long as they work. It's the relative time (elapsed whole cooking) that matters and that increment can be set from whatever is on the display.

That's alright... The b*tch is that you have to set it at all... IF I have to set it, it ain't no more to set it correct - except that I set em to MST, and don't bother with DST on em at all. That saves me twice a year. But they still go off every time the power fails and WILL NOT WORK without setting them some-wise... Which is the rub. Why does it need time (and date) when all it is or needs is to be a glorified timer?
