United States Army’s Ambitious Expectations for M1 Abrams Battle Tank

When it comes to the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank from General Dynamics Land Systems, the company has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.

Last week, the U.S. Army Contracting Command declared it had given the company a contract offer worth almost $100 million to make the tank (MBT).

A Huge Price To Pay

One of the government’s contracting portals revealed General Dynamics Land Systems Inc. in Michigan was chosen for a $93,519,000 fixed-price-incentive government contract covering the M1A2 Abrams’ development and manufacturing.

People tried to get bids online, but only one was accepted.

With all it can do, I'll bet the Ruskies and Chicoms are happy the Marines don't want anything to do with them. 99balloon
