Milwaukee prosecutors are conducting an internal review into their own office’s decision to make an "inappropriately low" bail recommendation for Darrell Brooks Jr., the person of interest in nearby Waukesha after an SUV plowed through a Christmas parade.

The horror left at least five people dead and 40 injured – including 18 children rushed to Children's Wisconsin hospital in Milwaukee.

Brooks has multiple pending cases in Milwaukee County – including a 2020 case involving two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a spokesperson for Milwaukee District Attorney John Chisholm. Bail was originally set at $10,000 and later reduced to $7,500, the district attorney’s office said.

But due to a court scheduling conflict that would have deprived Brooks of his right to a speedy trial his bail was again reduced, this time to just $500, which he posted on Feb. 21, 2021, according to prosecutors.  .  .  .

OK, this is how bad it is.  He was out on bail for two counts of second-degree recklessly endangering and being a felon in possession of a firearm after a $10,000 bond had been reduced to $500.  While out on bail, he commits two more felonies and three misdemeanors.  Normally, when someone out on bond commits another crime, the earlier bond is forfeited.  But not this guy.  Not only does he not have to forfeit his old bond, but he is extended a huge discount on his new bond.

At a minimum, the original $10k should have been re-administered for the 2020 cases, and the maximum should have been issued for the new ones.  There is no excuse why this man wasn't behind bars.

As I write, five persons are dead and over forty injured at the Waukesha Christmas Parade - a strange sentence to find oneself putting down in print. The injured include dozens of children, and the dead number members of Milwaukee's Dancing Grannies. Waukesha is a town of about 70,000 about fifty miles from the world-famous Kenosha.

I switched on CNN this morning to find out the latest, and they weren't covering the story. So I take it the facts are not helpful to "the narrative". Is it in The New York Times? Why, yes, on page 22:

These sick racist four-wheel-drive-privileged SUVs are out of control. I hope they did something about that at COP-26.

As usual, Britain's Daily Mail has more of an appetite for the story. Those who look beyond America's corrupt media for the basic information will be aware that the man in custody is an "aspiring rapper" called Darrell Brooks Jr, or Jay Brooks, or MathBoi Fly, whose rap videos are already being scrubbed from social media. When he's not rapping, he's a career criminal with a rap sheet as long as the Waukesha parade: property destruction, battery, strangulation and suffocation; he's also a "registered sex offender".

Two days before the attack, Mr Brooks was apparently released from jail by the Milwaukee County Attorney John Chisholm. His latest charges include domestic abuse, more battery, oh and felony bail jumping. So Mr Chisholm released him on $1,000 cash bail.  ...

“Officials said … that preliminary investigation showed the driver was not aiming at the marching band or any other parade participant but was speeding through the route to flee an earlier crime, multiple law enforcement sources told ABC News.”

“Authorities spent the overnight hours scouring social media and other digital platforms associated with the person of interest who is now in custody. They have, at least so far, no reason to believe there is any connection to radicalization…” ABC reported

However, ‘scouring’ the social media accounts of Darrell Edward Brooks shows that he was a radicalized BLM activist, self-proclaimed sex trafficker, and black supremacist.  ...

This may not seem like a “radicalized” background to police authorities, but between the Illuminati symbols, anti-semitic Hitler-praising rants, and fantasies about enslaving white people, there is ample reason here to scrutinize the suspect’s motivation, even if ‘fleeing another crime.’

Most would say that a radical BLM supporter with a black supremacist worldview is relevant background, particularly given the suspect drove through a parade of white children.

As citizens in Waukesha, Wisconsin were enjoying a Christmas parade, a violent, long term, conservative-hating criminal (who was released from custody 48 hours previously) plowed his SUV into bystanders, injuring over 20 people.

A maroon Ford Escape intentionally plowed through a crowd in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  Dozens of people are injured and reports of fatalities.  Horrific video is emerging of the SUV deliberately driving into the crowd.  Initial reporting of several people in the vehicle at the time.  Media reporting a person of interest has been identified.
