Russia, Take Notice: US Air Force B-52 and B-1 Bombers Are Flying Over Europe

The U.S. Strategic Command flexed its muscle by deploying its B-52 Stratofortress and B-1 Lancer strategic, nuclear-capable bombers over Europe as tensions with Russia remain high.

The bombers conducted a series of targeting missions, sending a message to Moscow that U.S. commitment to Europe and the security of European allies is firm.

Bombers Over Europe

B-52 bombers assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing and B-1 bombers from the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron deployed over Eastern Europe and worked with NATO allies. The bombers also flew over the Black Sea and the North Sea and worked with NATO fighters and warships.
