A prime example as to why the GOP doesn't stand a chance in taking back the Senate or House.

Gretchen Whitmer vetoes three voter ID bills meant to tighten election security

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vetoed three bills Friday aimed at tightening voter ID laws in the highly competitive state.

Whitmer, a Democrat, said the trio of GOP-backed bills would have made it harder for people without state IDs to vote in the elections and that they largely affected people of color.

“These bills would disproportionately harm communities of color. ... Non-white voters were about five times more likely to lack access to ID on election day than white voters,” Whitmer wrote in a letter to the state Senate Friday. “Voter restrictions that produce such a racially disparate impact must never become law in this state.” ...........

So, another democrat who believes that black people are too stupid to be able to get government-issued ID cards; the very same cards they need, however, to obtain all of the government-provided goodies racists like her keep voting for.

What an out-and-out racist.

I'm not giving up just yet.  Nope.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

Whitmer's approval has fallen, and the legislature can reintroduce this bill after she is gone.

  • The problem with everything is they try and make it better without realizing the old way is fine.

That can't happen soon enough.

This is another governor that probably  anxiously watched what happened last night

I would say the inept governor of Minnesota is another one
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.
