The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is undoubtedly busy. But Gen. Milley found time to talk to Woodward, Leonnig, Rucker, Bender, and perhaps other authors doing books highly critical of former President Trump.

Gen. Milley says Nov. 11, 2020 memo ordering the U.S. military out of Afghanistan by Jan. 15 was signed by President Trump and was two lines long. The other line ordered military out of Somalia. The memo was 'accelerated' order to leave Afghanistan in addition to Doha agreement.

Turner now chewing out Milley and Austin over Milley's calls to China, and that he talked about them with the press and not with Congress. If intel over Chinese concern over possible attack was so significant, why not elevate that info to cabinet and Congress?

Gen. Milley: Taliban only complied with 1 out of 8 terms of the Doha agreement signed by the Taliban and Trump administration. 13,000 U.S. troops were in Afghanistan when deal signed on Feb. 29, 2020. That number went down to 2,500 by Inauguration Day.

Gen. Milley says Afghan war not lost in last 20 days or 20 months but over many years, "could have ended it"  if Osama bin Laden killed or captured in mountains of Tora Bora in December 2001. Milley also says failure to deal with safe havens in Pakistan hurt war effort.
