President Biden says the August 31 Afghanistan withdrawal deadline depends on the “Taliban continuing to cooperate.”
He also says he instructed the Pentagon and State Dept. to create contingency plans to adjust the withdrawal timetable “should that become necessary”

IOW:  The Taliban could move the deadline to Aug. 26.
