It is beginning to seem like Republicans don’t even need to criticize Joe Biden because the Democrats are doing plenty of that themselves. Biden claimed that there was no avoiding the chaos in evacuating Americans from Afghanistan.

The Democrats announced they were going to investigate what happened.

He also claimed that no one could have anticipated how quickly the Taliban could take control of the country.

His CIA and members of his State Department in Kabul both warned him that this could happen.

Taliban leader ‘Baradar the Butcher’ lands in Kabul, allegedly eyeing presidency

Taliban leader and co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, known as “Baradar the Butcher,” arrived in Kabul on Saturday to begin talks that will focus on setting up a new Afghan government.

Baradar will meet battlefield commanders, former government leaders, and policy-makers, as well as religious scholars, a Taliban official told Agence France-Presse.

The terrorist leader was arrested in Pakistan in 2010 but was never handed over to the U.S. He was reportedly kept in Pakistan, residing in an official “guest room” of the government before he was transported in 2018 to Qatar at the request of former President Trump so he could lead talks that would potentially result in an eventual U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. It’s now rumored that Baradar is coveting the presidency of Afghanistan.

So the assumption that Pelosi as Speaker is not necessarily the order as per Constitution, as the Congress can change the order any time it wants.

And that is the point I was making.

We do not necessarily have to adhere to all those succession laws you quoted if Congress chooses to rewrite the law because the succession is not spelled out in the Constitution, the ruling authority, other than saying it is in the hands of Congress.

British Military Say Seven Dead at Kabul Airport, Taliban Blame Americans

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) – A panicked crush of people trying to enter Kabul’s international airport killed seven Afghan civilians in the crowds, the British military said Sunday, showing the danger still posed to those trying to flee the Taliban’s takeover of the country.

The deaths come as a new, perceived threat from the Islamic State group affiliate in Afghanistan has seen U.S. military planes do rapid, diving combat landings at the airport surrounded by Taliban fighters. Other aircraft have shot off flares on takeoff, an effort to confuse possible heat-seeking missiles targeting the planes.

The changes come as the U.S. Embassy issued a new security warning Saturday telling citizens not to travel to the Kabul airport without individual instruction from a U.S. government representative. Officials declined to provide more specifics about the IS threat but described it as significant. They said there have been no confirmed attacks as yet by the militants, who have battled the Taliban in the past.
