Rand Paul: Nothing More ‘Authoritarian’ than No-Fly List for Unvaccinated People

Thursday on FNC’s “Fox & Friends,” Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) reacted to former Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security under President Barack Obama Juliette Kayyem urging the Biden administration to place the unvaccinated on a no-fly list.

Paul ripped the suggestion, calling it “obscene.” He argued there is nothing more “authoritarian” than a no-fly list for the people who have not gotten the vaccine.

“You know that if we now disagree in our personal medical decisions with the left, they’re going to declare that we’re a terrorist and that we can’t fly,” Paul outlined. “But even on the practicality of that, even if you said, OK, we’re going to do this, even the CDC says you’re not supposed to get vaccinated if you’ve been infected within three months. So what are we going to do, tell people they can’t fly for three months, according to the CDC? I, and other doctors, actually think that your immunity from being infected is going to last a lot longer. With the 2004 epidemic, people still have immunity. Spanish Flu — there are people alive who still have natural immunity from 1918. So, I do believe natural immunity should be taken into account.”

He continued, “But even according to the CDC, this idiot would have us not flying for three months, so it makes no sense. It’s complete collectivism. And all of these people are the same people who hooted and hollered and said, ‘Trump is leading us to authoritarianism.’ What could be more authoritarian than a no-fly list for people who disagree with you?”

SCIENCE SCIENCE SCIENCE, if only it existed.

There is no science.  The CDC is as effective as a five year old at bat with a professional pitcher throwing the ball.

If they prohibit non-vaccinated folks flying, the airlines and all the businesses attached to the airline industry suffer.

This threat would not have me budging an inch.  In fact, decisions like this could lead to a split of the USA. 

And as long as officials representing the government continue to fail to recognize the immunity of those that have had COVID and survived, then they have zero credibility.

I believe my wife and I had the damn thing twice.  First time, first week of January, 2020, no test existed, so we could not prove we had it.  But I was sicker than any other time in my life.  In bed for one week, and at least a month to recover.  My wife, 20 years my junior, had minor symptoms both times.  I usually do not get viruses, have never had a flu vaccine, never will.  I WILL NEVER GET A COVID VACCINE EITHER.  Biden's Gestapo can shove it up their posterior!!!

I say protect the most vulnerable in our society and return to full normalcy otherwise.  Teachers do not want to teach, fire them.  Same for anyone else.  Shutting down the country was ALWAYS idiocy.  Sadly, Trump listened to Fauci throughout this whole thing, and his motivations were not that of an honest scientist.  Bad decisions were made.  The media killed thousands with their anti Trump rhetoric.  And the Democommies contributed to the death of many.  Their thirst for power must be challenged, even if it requires a revolution.
