The country’s largest defense contractor, Lockheed Martin Corporation, required white male executives last year to attend a diversity program that slammed them for their race, according to documents obtained by Manhattan Institute fellow Christopher Rufo.

Lockheed Martin sent 13 employees to attend three days of Zoom sessions. The trainings were organized by White Men As Full Diversity Partners, a consulting group that views it as its duty to “awaken” all of “the white male who represents the insider group.”...

I went through this crap in work after the Anita Hill hearings (1991).  The people responsible for creating and subjecting workers to a hostile work environment mandated that I, a depolarble white neanderthal Archie Bunker heterosexual Christian of westrn European descent, attend training that re-inforced that I was not supposed to squeeze the Charmin in the workplace.

These moonbats are trying to turn the whole world into one large safe place.  The people who are the problem see everyone, but themselves, as the problem.

This is different, IMHO. Teaching people to be aware that certain behavior, like repeatedly asking a coworker out, may cause problems in the workplace is different than telling all the white people that they are racists.

No.

That isn't what those people running Lockheed Martin are doing.

Those executives are engaged in the time-tested practice call Sucking Up.

The Rodents in DC want to see much corporate effort in destroying the white male hegemony that made this nation the envy of the world.   They don't want the US to succeed.   So they're going to reward companies that have a corporate practice of advancing people based on something other than merit, say like genitalia and skin color and Wokeness.

This has been going on for decades now.   It first entered literature in the early 1970s in the form of the satirical Destroyer series, which frequently commented on how a half-black half-hispanic woman with a spanish name checked all the boxes the Personnel Director wanted to check.   New boxes have been added, the sexual dysfunction categories, etc.

Lockheed is just trying to do what is required to get a leg up on winning the next aerospace defense contract.    Proposing the best bird is no longer what the government wants to see.

They've been pushing the All Sex is Rape notion for a couple of decades, too...

This is a momentary cultural purge that will backfire when the oppressed and marginialized have positions of responsibility they may not be prepared for.

The oppressed and marginialized are under the mistaken idea that being white means everything is handed to you on a silver platter.  Their woke college professors have not adequately prepared them for the effort, self-sacrifice, compromise, blood, sweat, and tears necessary to demonstrate your value to a dreaded private sector employer.

They will probably gravitate towards working in the government, academic, and non-profit sectors where they don't have to demonstrate measurable productivity.  In the dreaded private sector, they may find themselves in Human Resources or assigned to "Special Projects".  Human Resources is great refuge for useless employees.

Many organizations will enage in window dressing and lip service exercises to appease the social justice warriors, and hope they go away.

My town wants to rename their sporsteams because the current name, "Colonials" , is not woke.  Whatever.  It's nonsense.  Still doesn't correct the lack of access poor people have to housing, education, and health services.  They are too busy stopping Global Climate Change to lift a finger to help the poor and undereducated.

The problem with fixing poverty is that they have to spend time around poor, undereducated people.  If you're trying to solve Global Climate Change, you get to spend time with other college-educated suburbanites, like themselves.  It's a mutual admiration circle-jerk so they make each other believe they are great people instead of prejudiced classist elites.  It's a collective psychotic delusion.

This neanderthal deplorable Archie Bunker will sit back, confident in his life experience, and watch history repeat itself as I listen to (my soon to be criminalized?) Lynnyrd Skynnyrd CD's.

Whitey is to blame for everything, ever.  Good luck with that. :silly:

Right.

Only took a mere eight decades for Russia to recover from that mistake Lenin made, and after a short decade of relative democracy, they've given themselves the Dictator Putitin.

Tyrants who seize control by unlawful means aren't shy about using unlawful means to hold it.   Look at how the Rodents brazenly stole the last election.

Look at how Seth Rich doesn't come up for air any more.

Even Kathleen Willy's cat paid the price.

So, yeah, go ahead and make it look pretty and inconsequential to please your masters.

You should learn more about history before snoozing in the Comfy Chair.    History IS repeating itself, and it's not a good thing to do.   America was a dynamic never-before-attempted effort at revolutionizing the human condition.  It worked remarkably well.    If history is on a repeat cycle, that means America is close to death, because nowhere in history is there anything like America.   It may take another five thousand years of barbarism before the world sees it's like again.

But, what the hell, listening to ancient rock bands you can't spell the name of is much more important than the death of liberty on a global scale, right?

Nope. They’ll just normalize their failure. More likely, they’ll blame whitey for it, like Africa today blames colonialism for its backwardness.

Remember the old line ‘better to rule in hell than to serve in heaven’. It describes these people perfectly.

Exactly. When have leftists ever learned from their mistakes? As things get progressively worse, they'll just blame their opponents and double down on the stupidity.

My apologies to Lynyrd Skynyrd.  Please forgive this Yankee.

I, too, am approaching ancient.  I've seen this nonsense in the 1970s and 1990's.

They'll take down a statue of Columbus to make themselves feel better, but they won't give the America's back to the indigenous peoples.

They are more likely to co-opt other people's achievements and try to claim them as their own.

The item to watch are school history books.  The children are the ones they need to brainwash, just like they've done with Global Climate Change.  It's too late for me.  I am a lost woke cause.  I am a relic of an era gone by.

The closest corollary that comes to mind is Mao's Cultural Revolution.  The history books were revised.  The young were brainwashed.  The young then killed the adults and elderly to eliminate every memory of a pre-Communist China.

This battle's front will be local school committees, school administrators, principals, and text book publishers.  They'll be coming for your childrens' minds.

I think my confidence for the future of this country comes from the perspective of Irish-American history.

Endured 800 years of Anglo-Norman conquest, colonization, and attempts to eliminate Irish culture.

Endured near genocide during the Great Potato Famine.

Endured "Irish need not apply" and compulsory conscription in the Union Army upon arriving in America - to be cannon fodder in place of established white Americans.

Have been assimilating for generations, holding tightly to the culture and history that has sustained us.

It occurs to me, that for some Southerners, the struggles during the War of Nothern Agression and the Reconstruction is that shared historical struggle that help shape their cultural identity.  That's why they need to remember it, celebrate it, and commemorate it.  The woke movement to erase the monuments, the battle flag, and the history are being experienced by those Southerners as an attepmpt to extinguish their culture and identity.  This is something I have not personally experienced in my life.

After extinguishing the memories, history, and traditions of those who culturally identify with the hardships endured by Confederates, whose will they try to entinguish next?

This gives me more to think about.  The nonsense might night be so nonsensical.

The removal of Christopher Columbus statues could also be experienced as an attack on Italian culture and identity.  Many Italian-Americans would experience his discovery of America as a great accomplishment of Italian culture.

It WAS a great accomplishment of Italian culture.   The ships were Spanish, but they had to hire a Florentine (? pretty sure he was fromFlorence) navigator to do the job.   Yeah, I know Columbus lobbied for the expedition.

And the Spanish agreed to the expedition because Portugal had the rights to the trade route around the Horn of Africa.

No reason the Italians should not be proud.   Western civilization was brought to stone-age barbarians on two continents.    Too bad about the germs, but, hey, shit happens, right?  It wasn't intentional.

That's all very nice.

Now study the history of socialism.   It's been tried, everywhere, since it was first invented by the Chinese in 350 Before The  Christian Era, and not once has it worked to increase liberty or prosperity.  Quite the opposite.

The modern Marxist brand of socialism is just as successful as the original Chinese variant,...no success at all, but it's really wonderful for giving dictators total control and providing the necessary building materials for those really cool skull pyramids those dictators like so much.

Nothing cooler than a well constructed pyramid, right?

And the Irish spent over 400 years as serfs and slaves to the English.   That's the part of history to pay attention to.   The Irish didn't really become free until the United States set the example.

The United States is dying.

There's the next example for the Irish.

Oh, and there was no War of Northern Aggression.   It's called the Civil War by honest people and the WNA term is used only by Rodents seeking to absolve their Devine Predecessors from any guilt or connection to the slave culture the Democrats wish so desperately to re-impose on the blacks today.   Why people play along with the Rodents in this lie is not a mystery, it's just sad.
