Impeachment trial descends into chaos over Lee objection

The second day of former President Trump's impeachment trial ended in chaos after an effort by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) to remove remarks by the House impeachment managers from the official record sparked widespread confusion.

After the House managers announced they were wrapping up for the day, Lee stood at his desk on the Senate floor and asked to strike comments made by the House lawmakers that related to him.

"Statements were attributed to me moments ago by the House impeachment managers. Statements relating to the content of conversations between a phone call involving President Trump and Sen. Tuberville were not made by me. They're not accurate, and they're contrary to fact. I move pursuant to Rule 16 that they be stricken from the record," Lee said.

And again... I make  no such distinction.   You are either aiding and abetting the enemy, the radical left, or you are not.  Sounds harsh?  Don't forget... I was accused of being a NT, also... but I used rational thinking and concluded that Trump was the only thing standing between us and a communist-run America.   And I was and still am correct re: that.  There are no fence-sitters in this war.   Not any more.

@Victoria33 I understand that you have analyzed your observations of Trump from a distance and formed an opinion.  I appreciate your opinions and input and all of us in here have our differences in personalities and opinions.  I did find that your comment about Pence was a little over the top; perhaps my interpretation of what you stated was different than your intent.  I'll leave it at that. No argument there, and that is why I mentioned she went off the rail on this one.  I think her emotion got the best of her on that comment. But, in the long haul, she is a great Briefer, and has brought plenty of good insight here.
