I can't find the old thread, but you and I were staying up late that election night and watched. We basically were helping document the pause and "The Steal".  No doubt voting in 6 swing states stopped, and all thusly trended toward Biden when vote counting restarted.

Even any democrat of any honesty, knows but might not admit that the events of that night were way outside any realm of plausibility.

Democrats Argue at Impeachment Trial: Capitol Riot Wasn’t Caused by ‘One Speech’

Democrats argued Wednesday that the Capitol riot was not the result of “one speech,” despite the fact that the article of impeachment passed by the House of Representatives last month claimed that President Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 incited it.

Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX), one of the House impeachment managers, spoke during the second day of argument in the impeachment trial of the former president, arguing that the riot came after weeks of Trump’s criticism of the 2020 election.

“This attack did not come from one speech, and it didn’t happen by accident. The evidence shows clearly that this mob was provoked over many months by Donald J. Trump,” Castro said.

The argument appeared to undermine the central basis of the impeachment, which is that Trump’s speech on January 6 at the Ellipse specifically incited the mob at the Capitol.

Based on the one charge, unless the house dim kiddies can somehow tie DJT to some planned event of the House excursion, then there is no option but acquit.  Furthermore....   Evidence around the "planned Capitol incursion" brought up by WaPo, et. al hasn't even ben brought up yet.

Common sense says....   Kind of hard to be convicted of inciting a insurrection or riot or insurrection on January 6th , that was a premediated event planned 2, 5, 10 , whatever days earlier.

The prosecution is compelling.  Donald Trump incited and directed the insurrection.  He knew what he was doing.  I cannot imagine how any Senator could vote against removal.

Four facts will never change:

2. President Trump wasn’t afforded due process.

3. The impeachment charges undermine the First Amendment.

4. Impeachment won’t “unify” the country.

Those 4 things are true, but to the DEMS and all anti-Trumpers they don't care as long as they hang him and he can no longer hold political office.  Next they will destroy him by making sure he doesn't have a dime left to his name; then they will go after each of his family members.

...What is missing is a real effort to show Trump's intent and the glaring failure of the House to have called any witnesses for the last four weeks to lock in such testimony. He was impeached for incitement to insurrection, not negligence.

I knew we had all escaped a massacre on Jan 6th. I did not realize specifically that Mitt Romney and Mike Pence had escaped it by seconds.

Loud and clear the only intent of the democratic party is their morbid, rabid, insane hate of Donald Trump. 

Understand one of these is being installed  in Statuary Hall of the Rotunda for democratic use......

Just emerged from the Senate Chamber where I watched the reaction as the video presentation began. Every Senator was watching with rapt attention. At one point Senators Bennett & Warner stood up from their seats to get a better view of the screens.
