@Kamaji I captured a young orange tabby kitten that had been abandoned,and was going blind. Had surgery done,and saved one of his eyes,so now he is a fat adult one-eyed semi-tom (no stones).
For some odd reason,he sometimes likes to lay on top of the refrigerator. I guess it is instinct,and he is subconsciously waiting for unsuspecting prey to come along so he can attack from above.
Anyway,he was up there one hot day watching me restock the freezer.
I came home the next afternoon,another hot day,and he was up there and had one paw holding the freezer door open with his head hanging over the edge catching a chill. Looked to be pretty happy with his problem-solving,too.
Of course everything in there had thawed by this time and had to be thrown away.
I now have a strong rubber bungee/tie down strap holding the freezer door closed.
