CNN anchor Jake Tapper accused President Donald Trump of refusing to “abide by his own administration’s health experts about how to avoid contracting this disease,” while discussing the president’s positive coronavirus diagnosis, Friday during the opening of his show “The Lead.”

Tapper said, “We begin today, of course, with the shocking news delivered in the wee small hours of the morning. President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19, marking the greatest known health threat to a sitting U.S. president since Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981. Both President Trump and First Lady Trump are showing mild symptoms we’re told. And now there is a growing number of positive cases inside the White House. Let me start by saying on our broadcast today that, of course, everyone here at “The Lead” is hoping for a full and speedy recovery for President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Trump aid Hope Hicks, Republican Senator Mike Lee, the White House staffer who sits in the West Wing and, frankly, anyone out there who has contracted the virus.”

He continued, “But we must acknowledge President Trump has refused to abide by his own administration’s health experts about how to avoid contracting this disease. In recent months and as recently as the debate Tuesday night, the president has mocked those who wear masks even though the CDC director has said masks may be more effective than a vaccine when it comes to saving lives.”

That lie called out, does smart-ass know-it-all Tapper know that in January, February, and March of 2020 the Surgeon General of the US, the CDC, leaders from the NIH, HHS, and the World Health Organization all advised that healthy people NOT wear masks to prevent being infected. In other words, President Trump was following these organizations', "the scientists", advice. Until April these organizations advised that only people who were sick and health care workers wear masks.

No he mocked Biden for wearing one when no one was within fifty feet of him. There are all sorts of pictures of oh holy Biden not wearing a mask and no one calls him on on his BS except for Trump. Masks are absolutely useless on healthy people and the WHO, CDC and Fauci know it. Up until this pandemic the only people that were quarantined were the sick. Why did Fauci, china and Gates's WHO and the CDC decide that healthy people needed to be locked up and the economy be destroyed this time? Odd how Fauci didn't respond the same way to the pandemic that occurred on Barry and Joe's watch, isn't it?

I am considered high risk, diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, COPD and 65 and I wouldn't wear a mask, and don't unless I am forced to by a private business. I laugh at the fools who alone in their cars or walking where no one is with a block of them wear masks as if the very air they are breathing will infect them, I wonder if they wear the mask 24/7. The very size of the virus makes almost 100% of the masks available absolutely useless.

Trump wearing or not wearing a mask should have absolutely no impact on an individual making a personal choice, only democrats believe that the American public should blindly do what they tell them. I make my own decisions and if I make a poor choice and suffer for it? Well that's the great thing about how our Republic is supposed to work vs the takes a village idiot nanny state of the democrats. And wet hands are more likely to attract airborne particles than dry hands do. Sure - reasonable cleanliness... but over-washing is more of a risk than keeping hands dry.

And the CDC is all over the place as I said, as it the med community. Their political positions are directly in contrast to their own written protocols. Take the time to understand the very temporary nature of PPE, and maybe you will understand - Masks work using static attraction. Guess how poor they are once they get wet, and how long that takes in normal use.  Once the mask is wet, it no longer has any static attraction. Instead it becomes an incubator... a nice wet warm place that your inhalations draw into you.

They are full of crap. Their recommendations change every thirty days. Just weeks ago they finally admitted the bug is airborne. Hell I knew that all the way back in April when whole apartment buildings were becoming infected... And they told people to stay in their apartments - Exactly wrong, if the building is infected... Apartment HVAC systems spread airborne in a close closed system, guaranteeing the entire building will be exposed.

The appeal to authority is a joke. Especially when they are overturning their own guidelines willy nilly.
