Perfectly timed for President Trump’s final reelection push, the Republican National Committee broke its own fundraising record last month and brought the total GOP-Team Trump take to $1.3 billion.
The party and Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told Secrets this morning that donations totaled $67.6 million, the best ever for an August fundraising push. What’s more, it was also the best online fundraising August ever, raising nearly four times what the party did in the previous four Augusts combined.
The record fundraising record gave party officials an extra shot of confidence entering the final weeks of the president’s reelection campaign and the GOP’s bid to retain control of the Senate and take over the House.
“This campaign is powered by real Americans who are motivated by raw enthusiasm for President Trump and a genuine belief in his agenda," said McDaniel.
“From now until Election Day, our unparalleled infrastructure, battle-tested Get Out The Vote operation, and historic grassroots army will work each and every day to reelect President Trump and Republicans up and down the ballot,†she added.
