Jacob Blake Gives Sends A Powerful Message From His Hospital Bed: "Change Ya'll's Lives" [Video]
If there was one thing you could go back and tell your younger self what would it be? For Jacob Blake, it's pretty clear he wishes he could change the person he was before the shooting. Blake was shot 7 times in an altercation with Kenosha Wisconsin officers. One bullet severed Blake's spine and left the 29-year-old paralyzed. Instead, Blake is urging people both young and old to change their lives. He hopes to save them the pain he now feels.
“I just wanna say, man, to all the young cats out there, and even the older ones, older than me, there’s a lot more life to live out here, man,†he says in the video, which was posted to social media.
“Your life,†he continued, snapping his fingers, “and not only just your life, your legs — something that you need to move around and to move forward in life — can be taken from you like this, man.â€
