Rasmussen Reports noticed something very fishy about polling
By Andrea Widburg

One of the most famous clues in a Sherlock Holmes mystery is what's commonly referred to as "the dog that didn't bark," or, as Holmes actually said, "the dog did nothing in the night-time."  Rasmussen Reports, which puts out a Daily Presidential Tracking Poll like clockwork, noticed that its competitors ceased barking (or, if you prefer, polling) after the two parties held their conventions.  According to Rasmussen, which would know, this silence was unprecedented.

Rasmussen published a series of tweets on Monday openly snarking at its competitors for their silence.  Moreover, whoever is writing Rasmussen's tweets was not shy about identifying a reason for the other polling outfits' unusual reticence: the narrative up until the conventions was that Biden was unstoppable; it's now quite possible that he's been stopped.

This came out this morning...I would like to see the breakdown of Repubs and Dems

Biden holds 8-point national lead in new poll

Biden enjoys 51 percent of support from likely voters, compared to Trump’s 43 percent, according to the Morning Consult poll released on Tuesday.

The poll, conducted Aug. 28-30 among 12,966 likely voters, has a margin of error between 1 and 2 percentage points.

I haven't seen any "battleground state" polls since before the DNC.  I DDG'ed it yesterday and there don't appear to be any.  This is very suspicious.

Ergo, why the left suddenly is "against" violence and riots.... and started blaming Trump....instead of their previous approval and enabling of said riots.   It bit them.

I’ve been harping on this for three years. The polls skew the sample heavily to democrats. When I mentioned it a couple of folks here just laughed and challenged my assertion. You know who you are. I was right then, I continue to be right now. Thank me.  888high58888

RCP is often the "go-to" location for reviewing political races

Considering RCP takes averages of several of the most recent polls as race standing, this makes sense.  Sleazy MSM is trying to skew numbers to overweigh the earlier polls favorable to Biden.

RCP includes party push polling, and my educated guess is that the ratio of dim:GOP in overall internal polling is about 4 to 1.  I don't know if that is either RCP skewing it, or whether the GOP doesn't poll as much.  Anyone care to guess?

These are people who corrupted the FBI & CIA in a phony investigation, conducted an impeachment based upon a phone call, shut the entire economy down over a flu bug, and enabled killers who burned acres & acres of city real estate in order to defeat this president. They are now commmiting open extortion for &^% sake.

They are a crime syndicate. Does anyone think they do not have a plan to steal this election?

I personally take polls with a grain of salt.

How many people know someone who will decide on Monday night or Tuesday morning who they’ll vote for?

Biden blows past Trump in Arizona and sweeps in swath of battlegrounds: Poll

In total, Morning Consult surveyed 17,813 likely voters in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin for its late August round of research.

.@MorningConsult⁩ polls show race unchanged except in Ariz where Biden widens lead

Ariz: Biden 52-42
Mich: Biden 52-42
Pa: Biden 49-45
Minn: Biden 50-43
Wis: Biden 52-43
Fla: Biden 49-47
Tex: Trump 48-47
OH: Trump 50-45
NC: Biden 49-47
Ga: Biden 49-46

Nationwide, Biden had an 8-point lead on Trump, 51% to 43%. That separate Morning Consult tracking poll surveyed about 12,000 likely voters between Friday and Sunday. Its results were on par with the group's Aug. 14-16 study and put Biden in a better post-convention position to 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Four years ago, Clinton was only in front of Trump by 3 points after the conventions.

Biden's comfortable national berth in the Morning Consult polling can be compared to an Emerson College survey published Monday that had Trump behind Biden by only 2 points. But Morning Consult's research better aligns with polling averages. RealClearPolitics puts Biden ahead by an average of 6.2 points, while the two-term vice president is in front by an average 7.1 points, according to FiveThirtyEight.

It always comes do the makeup of the sample, which is basically the assumption of who is going to vote and how.

If that's wrong, your poll is wrong, but if the objective is to sway opinion rather than report it, you skew the sample.

Most campaign internal polls are far more accurate, but rarely released. As for the Dems, watch the body language and telegraphing to get an idea of what their internal polls are saying.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

Gefn asked:

Well, I don't associate with any... not any more.

But... there are thousands upon thousands, perhaps millions of them.

I decided who I would "vote for" (in 2020) on Wednesday November 9, 2016.

Agreed with your first sentence.
As for the second... too early yet to tell.

We squeaked by in the state of Florida back in 2000.

But the democrat-communists have learned a lot more about cheating since then. Gonna be HARDER to stop them at it this time around...
