I thought I was seeing double last night! Again, bad producing. As someone mentioned earlier in this thread, where were the Hollywood types to help this "convention" along???
Hollywood doesn't do live TV so well. In an industry hallmarked by do-overs to attain their final product, I have always found their criticism of actual executives to be rather vacuous. President Trump (or any other executive, business owner, etc.) has to make decisions on the fly that can affect hundreds, thousands, or even millions of lives. Yet Hollywood types get the luxury of take after take after take until they finally get it right. They are never judged on the 47 times they got it wrong, only on that 48th time where they finally got it right.
With the DNC Convention, they can be quite helpful in producing a final production. But they lack the ability to effectively deal with a live zoom audience. It simply isn't part of their do-over nature.
