Stats now show that the mortality rate for the coronavirus is hardly more than the seasonal flu. And when this is all over, it may even be less.

Trump was right all along. But the left mocked him as they elevated Dr. Anthony Fauci to sainthood. It turns out, this “expert” deceived us all.

The mortality rate for the coronavirus dropped from WHO’s estimate of 3.4% to 2% to Fauci claiming it was 1%, and therefore ten times deadlier than the seasonal flu. (He plucked the 1% figure out of thin air, since there was insufficient data to make such a claim).

Now we learn that the overall mortality rate for this virus is not 3.4% or 2% or even 1% Instead, the mortality rate is around .26%.

Yes, you read that right. .26%.

I would not say it's completely for naught.  People who were previously uninterested in politics just got a sneak preview of life under Socialism.  Multiple Governors dropped their masks, and that's usually "a good thing."  We now know, for sure, the character of Cuomo, Whitmer, Wolf, Newsom et al.  We've also seen the character of Abbott, DeSantis  and others as well.

Before we take our victory lap, I would suggest we wait till we get a little further down the road with this thing.
I do believe a prolonged shut down was wrong, I still believe that a 2 or 3 week "time out" to give the scientist a chance to figure out what we are dealing with, but of course, the science turned into politics and never happened.

Two or three weeks was necessary and if it were only that we wouldn't be talking about the destruction of the country.

I'm still hoping this whole fiasco opens a few more eyes to the threat to each of us posed by big government.

People sometimes get upset at me when one of the liberal powermongers die, as we 'should be respectful of the dead.'

I hope that this episode wakes these same people up that their living ilk are absolutely not respectful of the fact that you may end up dead as a result of their intentional decisions and scorched earth politics.
