Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

King has a long history of making clumsy remarks.  His constituents seem to roll their eyes and move on.  I'm not sure what the national Republicans gain by interfering in the primary.
