Blue suicide: Dem governors will pay a huge price in November for unnecessarily long lockdowns
By Thomas Lifson

Some of the most populous states in the country – blue states dominated by Democrats – plan to continue the economic carnage of full lockdowns for a long, long time.  Gavin Newsom of California promises no return to normal until a vaccine is developed, which could be never, or two years if the average length of development timetable applies.  In the meantime, small businesses will be wiped out, middle class savings exhausted, and huge numbers of their citizens will be driven into poverty and dependence on government handouts.

Apparently, the political theory is that poor people support Democrats at the polls, so impoverishing most people means permanent majorities keeping them in power.

Meanwhile some red states like South Dakota and Wyoming never locked down their entire states, while others are now reopening step-by-step. Overseas, Sweden never locked down, and now Germany is planning to return its society and economy to normal in a methodical fashion, including reopening schools and other counties like Australia are also loosening up, step by step.

I disagree.

Voters in states like California, Oregon, Washington, Massachusetts, Illinois, New York and Connecticut aren't going to suddenly start "voting red" because of the "lockdown".

In the purple states, well... there could be consequences.
But it's going to pretty much be business as usual in the blue states.
It's gonna take more than a coronavirus to shake them to their foundations.

Even in "Blue States" some Dem House and legislature members could be hurt by perceptions of excessive or politically-motivated re-opening delays. But it is an issue that must be presented skillfully, taking into account that MSM folks are likely to side with re-opening delays.
If, as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, https://www.poynter.org/fact-checking/2021/robert-f-kennedy-jr-said-the-covid-19-vaccine-is-the-deadliest-vaccine-ever-made-thats-not-true/ , https://gospelnewsnetwork.org/2021/11/23/covid-shots-are-the-deadliest-vaccines-in-medical-history/ , The Vaccine is deadly, where in the US have Pfizer and Moderna hidden the millions of bodies of those who died of "vaccine injury"? Is reality a Big Pharma Shill?

Millions now living should have died. Anti-Covid-Vaxxer ghouls hardest hit.

To their foundations?  No, but "blue" states sometimes turf out Democrat governors in favor of Republicans (esp. when the left overreaches), even as we in "red" states sometimes do the reverse (it's actually a tradition in Kansas to elect a Democrat governor, while keeping the legislature firmly in GOP hands, if the right wing of the GOP overreaches -- as in nominating the Trumpier-than-Trump Kobach).  Massachusetts and Maryland are among the "bluest of the blue" when it comes to national politics, and both have GOP governors currently.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
