All these states have HIGH numbers of illegals (particularly in Connecticut) who don't seem to understand or aren't willing to comply with the notions of social "distancing" or personal protective items (gloves, masks). I sense that with Hispanic males, in particular, the cult of "macho" has something to do with this.

I'll reckon that this is one of the factors spreading the disease around in this area, even though the population in CT isn't as "closely bunched together" as that of New York City or "close in" Jersey.

There are some areas in the country (mostly "blue" areas that have higher populations, and large numbers of illegals) where the virus is just going to "burn through" on its own -- not unlike the wildfires out in California a while back. The "shutdown" becomes the only "firebreak" possible -- even though it's moderately a weak firebreak at that.

That's why "re-opening" won't help around here and doing so will probably make the epidemic rage up considerably worse.

I just hope it doesn't "burn through" me as it blows overhead...

Do we have any statistics in yet on how many angels can dance on the head of a pin?

Jokes aside, these data populations are still way too small to get any kind of a feel for the accuracy or trends.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

Update: 270 "probable" deaths in Pennsylvania removed from the rolls.

No accident.  This was coordinated with three other Democrat states the same day that Georgia and others announced reopening their States.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.     -Dwight Eisenhower-
