The only reason the U.S. has reported one million cases of CoronaVirus is that our Testing is sooo much better than any other country in the World. Other countries are way behind us in Testing, and therefore show far fewer cases!

Openly gay New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson:

Quote
It is time for Samaritan's Purse to leave NYC. This group, led by the notoriously bigoted, hate-spewing Franklin Graham, came at a time when our city couldn't in good conscience turn away any offer of help. That time has passed. Their continued presence here is an affront to our values of inclusion, and is painful for all New Yorkers who care deeply about the LGBTQ community. I'm aware that our battle against COVID-19 is still ongoing, and that our health care system—and the amazing workers who have been the heroes of this unprecedented time in our history—still needs support. The @NYCCouncil is committed to supporting those workers and protecting our city's public health. But as a city that values diversity and compassion for all, we can't continue allowing a group with their track record to remain here when we're past the point they're needed. Mount Sinai must sever its relationship with Samaritan’s Purse. Its leader calls the LGBTQ community "detestable" and "immoral." He says being gay is "an affront to God," and refers to gay Christians as "the enemy." Samaritan's Purse requires its volunteers to agree to a written affirmation “that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female.”

Hate has no place in our beautiful city.

Interesting? By Congress not wanting the special 5 minute testing apparatus, they are saying that they are not “essential”. In any event, we have great testing capacity, and have performed 6.5 million tests, which is more than every country in the world, combined!

New York update:

Daily deaths down now to 226, continuing the downward trend of roughly half every two weeks. Hospitalization trends continue downward, though it appears to be slightly slower than the bell curve—there are some weekly cycles in the downward trend.

In March, race-baiting leftists like MSNBC homophobe Joy Reid giddily predicted that pro-Trump red states would have the most coronavirus cases.
In reality, eight of the top 10 states that are COVID-19 hot spots are liberal “blue states.”

She hasn't said shiz about the fatal shooting of a security guard who got killed for trying to enforce her social-distancing orders.

John Hayward  @Doc_0
An unlovely truth of human nature revealed once again by this pandemic: most people don't seek power and don't think about it often, so they are unprepared for how intoxicating it is when they get some. That's why we suddenly have so many busybodies and volunteer lockdown police.
8:54 AM · May 5, 2020

John Hayward  @Doc_0
This is one of the answers to why people tolerate the imposition of authoritarian or fascist governments. It's why so many normally polite people become screaming control freaks online and eagerly join social media rage mobs. They're instantly addicted by a little taste of power.
8:58 AM · May 5, 2020

John Hayward  @Doc_0
For many people, that taste of power is like a lifelong non-drinker who gets his first sip of finely aged whiskey and can't believe what he's been missing. They never really thought about power before. They told themselves they had no interest in it and laugh at those who do.
9:01 AM · May 5, 2020

John Hayward  @Doc_0
That little bitty taste of power - reporting someone for violations, telling them what to do, participating in a mob that ruins them for violating a speech code - hits the unprepared psyche like a jolt of electricity. The appetite for more awakens with surprising speed.

John Hayward  @Doc_0
Why do people allow authoritarians to take over? Because the tyrants promise to take them along for the ride. They get the taste of power from being an informer, an enforcer, a good Party member, and they fall in love with how it makes them feel. Then they fall in line /end

For the constant criticism from the Do Nothing Democrats and their Fake News partners, here is the newest chart on our great testing “miracle" compared to other countries. Dems and LameStream Media should be proud of the USA, instead of always ripping us down!

The White House CoronaVirus Task Force, headed by Vice President Mike Pence, has done a fantastic job of bringing together vast highly complex resources that have set a high standard for others to follow in the future. Ventilators, which were few & in bad shape, are now being....

...produced in the thousands, and we have many to spare. We are helping other countries which are desperate for them. Likewise, after having been left little, we are now doing more testing than all other countries combined, and with superior tests. Face masks & shields,....

....gloves, gowns etc. are now plentiful. The last four Governors teleconference calls have been conclusively strong. Because of this success, the Task Force will continue on indefinitely with its focus on SAFETY & OPENING UP OUR COUNTRY AGAIN. We may add or subtract people ....

....to it, as appropriate. The Task Force will also be very focused on Vaccines & Therapeutics. Thank you!

A telling survey in NY: over the past 3 days... the most frequent place where COVID is caught is... at home. Nursing homes and assisted-living facilities make up most of the rest.

Congregate settings make up only 2% of admissions. Notes Jimmy Vielkind, one of the state's best reporters: "Most of New York’s new cases were not people who were out working, and most had not taken public transportation."

How odd.  That's the same place that bats catch it.

THIS IS GOLD:@PressSec is asked by a reporter about her previous comments on coronavirus and she flips the question on the media and references specific stories, asking if they'll be retracting them.

She then left the briefing as they screamed.

Cuomo says it’s ‘shocking’ most new coronavirus hospitalizations are people who had been staying home

It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home.

What does "largely" mean?  Is it a large percent of those sheltering at home?  Or did a large percent break quarantine?

Coronavirus infects residents on different floors of apartment building

2/11/2020

A hundred people have been quarantined in Hong Kong after being evacuated from an apartment building where two residents living on different floors were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, authorities said.

During a press conference Tuesday, officials from Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection said the two infected residents were separated by 10 floors and the decision to partially evacuate the public housing estate in the city's Tsing Yi area was made after the discovery of an unsealed pipe in the bathroom of the lower apartment, raising fears about how the newly identified virus may have spread between the two units.

Governor Cuomo's response has been to order people to remain inside their apartment buildings and not go outside.  It's a death trap.  And Cuomo has known it for almost three months.

I cannot emphasize enough the benefits of warm moist air and sunshine in preventing the spread of this virus.  Yet these State governors are vehemently standing in the way.
