Last month all you heard from the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats was, “Ventilators, Ventilators, Ventilators.” They screamed it loud & clear, & thought they had us cold, even though it was the State’s task. But everyone got their V’s, with many to spare. Now they scream....

... “Testing, Testing, Testing,” again playing a very dangerous political game. States, not the Federal Government, should be doing the Testing - But we will work with the Governors and get it done. This is easy compared to the fast production of thousands of complex Ventilators!

Amen to that.  It is so refreshing to hear a US President say it.  Wish Bush had told Blanco the same thing in Louisiana.

Ben Shapiro  @benshapiro
Yet another study suggesting that the supposed infection fatality rate for covid-19 was at least an order of magnitude off, this one from LA County. http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/phcommon/public/media/mediapubhpdetail.cfm?prid=2328
6:29 PM · Apr 20, 2020·

From the study:
Quote
... Based on results of the first round of testing, the research team estimates that approximately 4.1% of the county's adult population has antibody to the virus. Adjusting this estimate for statistical margin of error implies about 2.8% to 5.6% of the county's adult population has antibody to the virus- which translates to approximately 221,000 to 442,000 adults in the county who have had the infection. That estimate is 28 to 55 times higher than the 7,994 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported to the county by the time of the study in early April. The number of COVID-related deaths in the county has now surpassed 600.  ...

The antibody test is helpful for identifying past infection, but a PCR test is required to diagnose current infection.

"Though the results indicate a lower risk of death among those with infection than was previously thought, the number of COVID-related deaths each day continues to mount, highlighting the need for continued vigorous prevention and control efforts," said Dr. Paul Simon, chief science officer at L.A. County Department of Public Health and co-lead on the study.   ...

I don't much care about the endowment, that's between them and their Alumni.  But, they are a good example of the Bigs pushing out the Smalls, which is exactly NOT what people wanted!  It's supposed to be for the mom and pop shops, not Shake Shack and Hahvahd.  If Home Depot had gotten some, I'd be bloody pissed.   As it were, about 75% of the first tranche did go where it belonged.

I want to see the Casinos of Nevada open back up.  Their closure is killing my little town.

The “shut it down or people will die” crowd still has yet to explain how the destructive health effects of personal bankruptcies, combined with the pending hollowing out of our locked down hospitals, won’t lead to deaths too. This isn’t a single variable problem.

Democrats refuse to understand that the greatest single cause of strife and death is Communism.
For unvaccinated, we are looking at a winter of severe illness and death — if you’re unvaccinated — for themselves, their families, and the hospitals they’ll soon overwhelm. Sloe Joe Biteme 12/16
I will NOT comply.

Self quarantining & shutting down businesses was done to FLATTEN the curve not to eliminate COVID. We needed time to prepare for increased hospitalization & obtain PPE. Many in the media are acting like we can’t open up until COVID is eliminated & that may never happen.

Where are my pundits today comparing seasonal flu death rates WITHOUT mitigation and WITH vaccinations, over a full year, to CV19 WITH full mitigation, WITHOUT vaccinations, probably different virality, and only one month? We need more of that!

Bright hired attorney Debra Katz to represent him.  Gee, no deep state bias there.   Looks like Trump made the right move.  Again.

That is the typical course of action here.  If you take out a loan, you pay it back.
