Elizabeth Warren Reportedly Ends Presidential Campaign

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren has reportedly ended her presidential campaign after a disappointing showing on Super Tuesday.

Warren’s campaign signaled earlier in the week that she was staking her candidacy on a brokered convention in Milwaukee this summer, but dropped out of the race just days later.

Her departure from the race has been reported by multiple reporters and publications, including CNN and the New York Times.

Drat, I was hoping she'd stay in,  to split the prog vote and hurt Bernie.    Oh well, it was inevitable, and for the most fundamental of reasons -  she just isn't likeable.

She should have dropped out before Tuesday.
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.
As is stands now, everyone knows that she has no significant base. She proved it.
All her candidacy has done is to bolster Biden and damage Sanders.
And losing in her home State will leave a scar forever.
Not to mention that she made fools of all of her campaign workers and donors.
She could have dropped out strong. Now, she drops out in defeat and humiliation.

True.  But I don't see the DNC allowing her the ability to do that.  Both the GOP and the DNC are run like Tammany Hall these days with the likes of McConnell and Perez et al deciding who the nominee will be because THEY are the "real power".

Elizabeth Warren says she will not be running for president in 2020 but guarantees that she will stay in the fight.

Speaking to reporters Thursday outside her home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Warren said she'd likely endorse one of the two major candidates left in the race, Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders, but “not today.”

“I need some space and I need a little time right now,” she said, standing next to her husband, Bruce Mann, and golden retriever, Bailey.

I've never thought otherwise.  All you have to do is look at the 1976 Republican convention.  Some of the same people in Congress now working cloak room deals are the same ones that ensured Ford would get the nomination over Reagan.
