This is INCREDIBLY good news!!  The mask shortage is putting our front line defenders in grave risk.  If we lose them, we lose many, many more.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

I totally agree!  Crises like this bring out the worst in a few, but the very, very best in most Americans.

I’m actually feeling some pride in this country that I thought was long gone....

The headline caught my eye, then I read the piece. All they are saying is it hasn't really struck Russia too terribly bad yet. So, I don't see how they can project that it could be so devastating.

Kremlin Knows Hell Is Coming…The People Don’t
by L Todd Wood  March 22, 2020

I’ve talked to many Russians inside the country and many expats living abroad over the last few weeks. There is a common theme among them — they don’t believe in the Chinese coronavirus.

...

He said: ‘What is worrying, in my opinion, is that I do not understand why they do not take samples from all people with pneumonia.

...

However, the Kremlin does seem to be worried and is building a large pre-fab hospital outside the country’s capital of Moscow to house 500 patients.

They are building that hospital, that is some preparation.

DEMOCRATS HOLD AMERICA HOSTAGE FOR SOCIALISM!
by CD Media StaffMarch 23, 2020

...

The new collective bargaining powers alone detailed below will forever alter the fabric of America, installing socialism instead of a capitalistic economy.

Think about it…the Democratic Party is using the crisis created by the Chinese Communist Party as a weapon to communize the United States of America.

Via senior GOP aide, Schumer/Pelosi now pushing these demands amid pandemic-fueled economic collapse:

One thing I'll say for the stats, it might have changed but over the weekend, deaths were something like 1% of all confirmed cases, that's a bit lower than we've been told, however, when deaths in the USA are now nearing 500, that's a fairly relative statement. There was even an article in the media, maybe Gateway Pundit mentioning this.

I’ve never commented about a fellow Senator’s choices/actions. Never once.

This, America, is absolutely irresponsible. You cannot be near other people while waiting for coronavirus test results. It endangers others & likely increases the spread of the virus.

Look at this commie/lib Senator going after a patriot Senator just because he selfishly disregarded the Presidents 15 day guideline.  I don't want to live in an America where a US Senator can't mindlessly ignore that test results are pending.  What is this Russia?

New York update:

Up another 5k statewide to 20k cases. Same as yesterday, not exponential. Either social distancing is starting to work or statistical noise, not sure.

621 in the ICU, 2635 hospitalized. Both still well below 3200 and 53000 ICUs and beds respectively that are in the entire state. Cuomo has now instructed hospitals to up capacity by 50%. Also looking ahead to plans to reopen business.

It appears things are starting to work.

Rand Paul deserves to be shamed.  As does any other politician asking me to sacrifice while they do what they want, and ignore my President and this crisis.  FLICK RAND PAUL.  I hope Rand's positive test, and his upcoming isolation bring the fear of God into him and remind him of the little people who wipe up his germs.  I'm not saying he's a self centered isolationist pr*ck...much.

That depends on if Rand asked for a test because he thought he might be sick or if the testing is done on a regular basis for all the senators to minimize the risk of spread at the top levels of government.

If he thought he might be sick and asked for a test, your point is well taken. If this testing was part of a wider screening process then not so much.

Here's what Rand had to say about it:

But in an extensive statement Monday afternoon, Paul defended his handling of the situation, saying he got tested simply because he and his wife had traveled extensively in recent weeks and he's at higher risk due to having part of his lung removed following an assault.

"I felt that it was highly unlikely that I was positive since I have had no symptoms of the illness, nor have I had contact with anyone who has either tested positive for the virus or been sick," he said.

Paul said he remains "asymptomatic" and said to his critics: “For those who want to criticize me for lack of quarantine, realize that if the rules on testing had been followed to a tee, I would never have been tested and would still be walking around the halls of the Capitol. The current guidelines would not have called for me to get tested nor quarantined.  It was my extra precaution, out of concern for my damaged lung, that led me to get tested.

"Perhaps it is too much to ask that we simply have compassion for our fellow Americans who are sick or fearful of becoming so. ... The broader the testing and the less finger-pointing we have, the better."

Gov. Tom Wolf to issue stay-at-home order for 7 counties including Philadelphia, suburbs, and Allegheny County

Quote
Gov. Tom Wolf is expected to issue a “stay-at-home” order today for Philadelphia and its suburbs, as well as Monroe and Allegheny Counties, taking the fight against the coronavirus to a new level by requiring residents to remain inside except for essential trips such as buying food or seeking medical help.

The order will apply to Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties in the southeast, Monroe County in the northeast, and Allegheny County in Western Pennsylvania, according to four sources with knowledge of the governor’s plans.

Democrats in the House have now crafted a new 1,400 page bill (man that was done fast...almost like they already had it ready) that they passed without debate today.  Here are just a few things Democrats are holding up the Coronavirus Relief Bill for:

-Corporate Board Diversity
-College Debt "relief"
-Election Auditing
-Canceling the debt of the Postal Service
-Same-day voter registration
-Requiring airlines to offset their emissions

The Senate needs to strip all that out,  and send it back to the House.

Yeah... Including the 1.8 TRILLION part.

The bill the Rats killed two days in a row doesn't have those provisions.  That's why they voted against it.

IOW, they are already stripped out.

The media needs to have a severe rectal exam by the FCC after this craziness is over. They have done more to instill fear and panic in people...repeat Liberal talking points and carry the water for the DNC than any politician in DC. It's reckless...dangerous and irresponsible on their part and they need to somehow be made to pay for it.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

Not gonna help for them to hang tough if Dem's are holding closed door meetings with SecTreas Mnuchin.  They seem to think he's the weak link to get more of what they want.

Yup and that's were most of the irresponsible reporting is coming from.  It's a lot easier to go after the broadcast (radio and tv) media for their recklessness than it is the print media.

So far the Rat Press has left Mnuchin's name out of it except to talk about how he's working with Dem leadership.

Quote
But the tone on Capitol Hill wasn’t totally negative after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said disagreements over the bill could be overcome in the next 24 hours. A spokesman for Schumer later added the senator and Mnuchin had a “productive meeting.”

Dems know who the weak/friendly link is in the Trump administration.  I have a sick feeling Pelosi will get most of what she wants and the official WH line will be "we had to in order to get the stimulus money to the people".

And no one on the Republican side will move to repeal any of it once the apocalypse is over.

It will become the new normal just like all the other crap like this that the Dems pull.

Food for thought:

How much is the shortages of medical equipment a direct result of the taxes placed on said equipment by Obamacare?

It is beyond stupid for the Republicans to continually allow this.  A sizeable chunk of this money will end up funding Democrat campaigns.  Look at all the money that Planned Parenthood donates to Dem candidates - money that is given to them from the taxpayer.
