I feel like NYC will end up being another Wuhan. There will be hotspots that will go on for months, unless the weather/UV issue indeed works and/or we get treatments approved that substantially shorten hospital stays. But the rest of the country will eventually have to get back to work.
I am reading conflicting reports. There is an article out there that is saying that in NY they are experiencing 1 death every hour. Other reports are showing that NY has had 47 deaths. The numbers agree though as to the number of cases being at over 8,000.
There are several states with over 500 cases; Florida, Michigan, Illinois, California, Washington and Louisiana. We've seen cases nearly triple in the past week here in Florida. IMHO these places also have the potential to be just like NY.
Weather and UV, again, and I've pointed this out before; in Florida most of our days our sunny...no rain or clouds here (SW FL) since the first case and our temperatures for the past couple of days have been in the 90's. We have gone from 2 cases in my county to 14 cases (3 non-residents) in the past 2 weeks, with 2 deaths. Yes it's a small number, but the rate of increase is concerning. As a state we are at 563 cases and 10 deaths. My point is, I don't see that weather and UV is going to have any impact.
