Police in California announced Tuesday they have arrested six suspected gang members in the shooting deaths of four men last month at a backyard gathering of family and friends.

The victims were killed Nov. 17 when gunmen entered the backyard of a Fresno home through an unlocked gate and opened fire with semiautomatic weapons on people watching a football game in the backyard.

Fresno Police Chief Andy Hall said at a news conference that the suspects are all self-admitted gang members and that they carried out the shooting to retaliate against a rival gang they believed was responsible for the killing hours earlier of the brother of one of the shooters.

The story reads in retaliation for a Hmong who was killed hours earlier.  It'll be interesting to see if that pans out. If so, they should not have been in that backyard partying.

Fresno Police Chief Andy Hall said the suspects are all self-admitted Mongolian Boys Society gang members and that they carried out the shooting to retaliate against rival gang the Asian Crips, who they believed was responsible for the death of a member of their gang.

At first, I thought mistaken identity, now I'm thinking, maybe there will be a thread to connect these matters together but I doubt if all 4 of the deceased were involved in the earlier killing that sparked the "retaliation".

    So much for giving a better life to those who supposedly helped our military in one of our foreign entanglements—this time the Hmong from the Vietnam era.


    As I said yesterday at RRW, we are bringing in Afghans and Iraqis by the tens of thousands as a reward for doing something for our military (or even for non-profit groups) with no guarantee that they will benefit America.


    These gangs of Hmong in California are a case in point.

2. The immigration from Vietnam was mostly in the 70s (40-45 years ago). The oldest of those arrested - as can be seen in a link in that earlier thread - is 30. IOW, it is probable that none of those arrested are immigrants.
