Dusting off the old thread because it's that time of year again:
Frosty ReturnsNow, admittedly I'm starting to scrape the barrel a bit because most of the good ones are either still around or have already been shared... but this one, after nearly 30 years of being on CBS, got tossed into the "Forgotten" pile for the first time.
It's an oddball sequel to Frosty the Snowman, with one redeeming characteristic: the sardonic yet charming, somewhat-against-type performance of John Goodman as Frosty. Oh, and Jonathan Winters put on a solid performance as the narrator. The plot? Environmentalist bullpucky. I hated this special growing up. There's no Christmas anywhere, the adults are all caricatured as "yay for global warming" scrooges, the kids (among them future Handmaid's Tale star Elisabeth Moss) are miserable, and despite being at least somewhat of a musical, most of the cast can't sing (except Goodman). But... now that it's forgotten, I guess I have to include it.
