Indeed it is, dfw.
Change a country's demographics, and you change its destiny.
Change the ethnicity, the "color of a country", and you change its culture, and eventually its form of government as well.
The source article is wrong about 2020. The effects won't be immediate. But over time, they will be undeniable and unstoppable. We'll start seeing this in 2024. And then... downhill faster and faster.
Who's to blame for this?
I can't blame the hordes of illegal invaders. Most are taking advantage of whatever opportunities they can grab for a better life. That's human nature.
Nor do I really blame the democrat-communist left. They're acting as one would expect them to -- trying to dismantle traditional America, its institutions and culture and replace it with a socialist-communist rule and economy. They've been trying to do this for around 100 years now.
No.
It's those on the right, so-called conservatives, that I blame for what's happening today.
For far too long, conservatives (and traditional-minded Americans, though they by their nature these folks might not have perceived what was coming) have clung to the meme that "anyone can be an American", based on Jefferson's precept that "all are created equal".
It was but a fantasy, albeit a noble one coming at the end of the Enlightenment -- yet a fantasy nonetheless. It has no basis in reality.
If only we of the right had spoken out more forcefully about changing the ethnicity of our country, we might have had a chance to preserve its character. But we were afraid to -- for fear of being called racists, or whatever. Perhaps for fear of being labeled mean-spirited and xenophobic.
Some have tried (Jared Taylor and Sam Francis come to mind), and were pilloried in the public square for having spoken out. But measured against current events their warnings seem prescient. And the consequences of which they predicted are coming to pass today.
Nope. It's not the fault of the invaders, nor that of the democrat-communists who urge them on.
It's OUR fault.
For not stopping it back when we might have.
And it's why The West seems to be reaching the end of its great run.
Not only are we unwilling to defend what we have, it seems we can't even understand that we have the RIGHT to do so.
"The fault, dear Brutus, lies not in our stars... but in ourselves".
