Why Is Our Society Degrading So Badly, So Fast?

Our Founders created a nation in which the rule of law would prevail and be applied equally to citizens from all walks of life and also would act as a restraint on the power of our leaders.  The tradition also includes the assumed duty of all Americans, including our political leaders, to live within the established and agreed upon laws of society.

The Democratic Party's increasingly progressive, left-leaning, radical political agenda contests this fundamental and longstanding American tradition of the law applying equally to all our citizens.  Whether I am walking on the streets of my city or viewing the news, I am witnessing on a daily basis increasingly uncivil, lawless, and visibly politically corrupt conduct being tolerated by our country.

Democratic Party policies today support the idea that adhering to the rule of law is no longer obligatory for several designated and politically favored groups selected by them.  Progressive politics is attempting to move Americans to accept and adopt a multi-tier justice system based on the unequal application of the law, whereby treatment by the system is increasingly dependent on subjective political considerations.

Well, for what its worth, my two cents.  IMHO there are several reason why our society has degraded.

First and foremost I blame the women's liberation movement (yes I know here come the flying arrows and daggers).  That movement went beyond a quest for equal respect.  It encouraged women to venture out and leave their kids at home to be watched over by strangers instead of their moms. Stay at home mommies were ridiculed and seen as useless and unworthy.  It exploited female workers until eventually it became necessary for both parents to have to work in order to make ends meet.  It created a society where children out of wedlock became acceptable as well as abortions; after all it is a women's 'right'. 

Secondly, illegal immigration has had a huge negative impact on our society.  Many who come here refuse to assimilate to our culture and way of life inflicting their lack of values on our society with a huge increase in crimes and anti-American sentiment eroding patriotism and destroying our inner cities all the expense of the taxpayer who have to support them as many of them are granted a free ride and many fill up our prison system.

Thirdly, we threw God out the window in our liberal public schools; all in the name of political correctness.

When I grew up, we all had to recite the Pledge of Allegiance each day of class.  That was to build patriotic citizens.

Now, this is considered racist or some other drivel and instead school curriculums include respect for queers and minorities instead of the country.

And as the kids grow their wants grow more exorbitant until the parents finally say no. The children haven't ever not received everything they so desired and don't know how to handle themselves. I grew up having to learn to recite the Pledge as well.  My grandson went to a christian pre-K school -- they were mandated to learn the Pledge.  Big difference these days between educating are children in the public school system vs. private.  It is unfortunate that private schools are so expensive.
